Anonymous content can be AI or human, for all I care.What's important is not whether an account is a bot, but rather that content was published by whoever they say they are, and that they can OPTIONALLY establish accountability/responsibility for the content that was signed by them. Fake content is less of a problem than fake identity. When identities are real, the population can at least have the choice of only tuning into identities they trust, and ignore the rest. For that, all you need is a way for real people to prove they are who they say they are.You can already do that with PGP, decentralized ID, and networks of trust, and those don't require a mark or a chip. As for AI flooding the Internet with content, you can fight bot spam by charging 5 cents per post. Simple as. If you want real people, just disincentivize fake people with microtransactions. The tech exists, so proving is easy. The problem is incentives. When the problem becomes large enough, the solution will be worth it, and the solution already exists. Don't want to use a government ID? Then use a decentralized ID.
