You can get massive photos of moon with a telescope, like really detailed and really big, and also very clear. But since this is smaller and probably further away, it's very much feasible this detail is possible, since it wasn't "that" far away or something.
What's helping a lot is that it's being portrayed agaisnt something, like I don't know what that red thing in the background is, but if there was nothing then it would be harder to make out any detail

Then download this app tiff viewer from app store and open the image
Now open tiff viewer and zoom in to centre of the shiny comet and it should be visible without any editing at all. I placed a red pointy arrow for you. No editing reminder. Now you can further take this screen cap and play with the colors/brightness to see it better
I went to inshot and literally JUST moved the brightness slider to the lowest setting. THAT is it and it showed up quite clearly. I think I just showed a step by step demonstration of the OPs claim
To hammer the point home I literally went to the color slider and moved just the whites and look at the motherfucker turn pink ......this is quite clear and wild. The same image throughout

You gotta use the real tiff image not the jpeg one. The jpeg is much smaller. For me I have verified it via 3 different tiff viewers and my PC IPS screen and phone
