I want to try a monk's diet, with bread, fruit, organic cheese and milk, and soups and stews. This was the historical Benedictine diet, without red meat but with some fish and poultry.I'm neutral on meat as long as the animal wasn't abused. Also monks were allowed to drink some alcohol, but according to the desert fathers not more than 3 drinks a night. Are there any micro nutrients and esoteric foodstuffs that are important? I also drink high quality loose leaf tea.
>>41273453>spiritualok cool>christian monksloltheir only power is worshiping jews and hiding abuse
>>41273453Interesting.

>>41273453God is a retarded tranny who thinks rich people deserve "the best" and that "the best things" are for their exclusive enjoyment and should be violently gatekept from "peasants" like me because he believes this enhances rich people's enjoyment. God considers basically anything but the worst foods "rich people food", he thinks things like plain brown/white bread, instant noodles, corn chips, salt/black pepper, bell peppers, peppers in general, snickers, popcorn chicken, cheeseburgers, all-dressed chips, bbq chicken sandwiches, orange soda, toffee, salted potato chips, hamburger helper, KFC/fried chicken in general, hamburger/beef in general, bacon, salmon, "chinese food", sushi, etc are all "rich people food" according to God. God believes anything remotely good whatsoever is "rich people food".

>>41273453>Best diet for spiritual powersLiterally eat what you want, so long as it does not make you sick.
i tried vegan in 2020
>>41273847>People consider lobster to be "rich people food" when it used to be fed to prisoners. That's the bullet point. When first discovered, lobster used to be crushed up into a mash and served. Very disgusting. Eventually people found out they could be cracked open neatly, but it was still low quality because it spoiled quickly.A large part of why lobster is so expensive is the demand, context of being hard to acquire and requires rapid preparation, and a lot of social hype associated with eating it. If you do not live near where they live, it is very expensive to eat. A lot of things had to happen for it to be considered fine dining.
>>41273847You're not really making a point idiot God would say lobster is rich people food too and I'm not talking about human perceptions I'm saying God basically says anything that is remotely good is "rich people food" regardless of what humans think, none of the things I listed are considered "rich people food" by humans only by God, everything in your picture here would be :rich people food" according to God.

Vegetarianism. Every mystical tradition talks about it. You want to get as close to the light source as possible. Every time light is transformed energetically (chemically) it loses some of its fructifying power to entropy, with animal metabolism being the final state where all metaphysical nutrition is lost. If we could get our energy entirely from the sun, I'd suggest that, but unfortunately the material body need proteins, fats, and carbs to repair itself. All of which can be found in vegetables. A word of caution: vegetarianism works by opening you up to whatever higher source you draw on for power, so if you have any demonic or negative parasitic influences, it makes you more susceptible to possession. This is why the WEF is pushing so hard to get rid of meat for the slave class (us); most people are not ready to eat higher vibrational foods
>>41274003>>A word of caution: vegetarianism works by opening you up to whatever higher source you draw on for powerThis helps frame some of the myriad of vegetarians I have met.
vegetarians are the ultimate scum bags; implying plant life is lesser than animal. muh sensory feelings. fuck off evil cunts. life is life and you murder plants.
>>41274003>vegetarianism works by opening you up to whatever higher source you draw on for power, so if you have any demonic or negative parasitic influences, it makes you more susceptible to possession. This is why the WEF is pushing so hard to get rid of meat for the slave class (us); most people are not ready to eat higher vibrational foodsThis is why I'm eating meat. It is basically very nutritious, just in terms of nutrients, and it has always been part of my ancestral diet. Also plant foods in the country where I live are not high quality, like they tend to be for instance in Mediterranean countries. Vegetables and fruit are grown hydroponically, in an artificial way to maximize production, meaning a decrease in quality. That said, I recognize there is an evil in the meat industry which has a bad spiritual influence...it's why I only buy meat from a local butcher who works with animal friendly farms. Likewise the milk and cheese I buy is organic so it comes from animals that were well treated.
>>41273453>Also monks were allowed to drink some alcohol, but according to the desert fathers not more than 3 drinks a night. Is that so? Would love a sauce for this. I happened to notice Epictetus taught the same thing IIRC.
>>41274145It's in the sayings of the desert fathers. One monk was offered a drink, and he accepted it, but after 3 drinks when they kept on offering him more he got upset and said "Do you want me to succumb to the devil?"
Whatever you do make sure to eat a lot of roquefort cheese (from raw sheep milk). Stichelton works similarly, but harder to find since they cucked stilton into being pasteurized milk.Get a fuck load of b vitamins too
>>41273742>Avoiding gluten eliminates brain fogI remember an odd schizo dream where I was told that I'd lose tolerance to certain foods the more I meditated and progressed spiritually.I thought I'd lose tolerance to meat because that's what the popular perception was, I think citing that eating higher forms of life is worse somehow... or something.I lost tolerance to wheat instead. It manifests like celiac disease without the immunological markers. I eat a lot more meat and dairy due to this.>>41274104>This is why I'm eating meat. It is basically very nutritious, just in terms of nutrients, and it has always been part of my ancestral diet.Ancestral diet is also largely seafood for me. I generally don't like eating seafood and would rather have something that walked on land or flew in the air, but meat was always essential. The liver is by far my most favorite cut of meat. Agriculture just was not as viable and what was present was almost always fermented and preserved.I'm not entirely convinced that eating plants is the ideal towards a highly spiritual diet either. What about all the other animals that must eat other animals to live? Life cannot be solely herbivorous.
>>41274183How much is a "drink"?
>>41274578>How much is a "drink"?Whatever you deem it to be. People think monks were a pious and temperate bunch but they also safeguarded a lot of knowledge on the art of booze and most definitely got shitfaced. It's the same reason why executives buy expensive private jets for "business travel" when they could just take a regular flight like everyone else.
>>41273453Red meat, water/tea, dairy, and fruit/nuts. Everything else is bloat.
>>41273453Nutrient dense veg/foods/no meat, fasting, meditation, qi gong, yoga.
>>41273453>bread and milkShitty diet. Avoid grains if you want super powersThe milk and grains monks ate didn’t have hormones to increase milk production or glyphosate sprayed on them
>>41273453I feel like eating for "spiritual powers" could be construed a number of different ways.1. Fasting & extremely spartan diets (like a monk just eating bread for 40 days) in order to develop intensity of will, disconnecting from social norms, gaining mastery over bodily urges.2. Studying diets designed to maximize general energy, well-being, and mental clarity. The work of Ray Peat is interesting because his suggestions are quite idiosyncratic & he really gets to the philosophy/presumptions behind various more mainstream diets.3. Adopting a diet specifically designed to maximize physical health & fitness (ideally this would also satisfy the criteria mentioned in the previous point, but probably not the stuff covered in 1), because the body in many ways gives rise to mental & spiritual experience. The only way to do this effectively is by developing a pretty robust personal training routine & experimenting, because /fit/ will tell you a million different things & a lot of them are retarded. Also many spiritual types totally disregard the body so certainly don't listen to them if you want to develop physical health.4. Disregard physical concerns altogether & simply cultivate spiritual powers to the point where you can transmute any food into the perfect energy source

>>41274888Trips of truth. His stuff is great because if you read it carefully he isn't giving you a specific diet so much a methodology for approaching health in general. Of course since he's become a bit of a meme on twitter, there will be these dumbed down "Ray Peat Diets" promoted that reduce it to a specific grocery & supplement list.

>>41274904>>41274911>>41274917>The human organism consist of cells of which there are various groups. Cell groups of the same kind together form one specific organ. Every cell is a little world in itself, a complete microcosm. Each has its own metabolism. Cells are fed by forces attracted by cell nuclei, while other values leave the cells after having performed their tasks. Cells also die and are completely replaced by new ones. These strange processes, which to material science are still almost impenetrable mysteries - as is the problem of the maintenance of the brain-cells for example - are clear to esoteric science, which teaches that, without any exception, it is dangerous for human beings to use the cells of animal bodies as food.>There are three levels on which this damage can make itself felt: the spiritual, moral and material levels, causing spiritual, psychological or physical defects. For instance, to eat fish fosters perversity, horse meat passion; to eat beef fosters stupidity and cententiousness, pork fosters cruelty, brutality and over-confidence, to eat mutton fosters falseness and to eat fowl fosters idiocy.>Nations and individuals who eat a great deal of any of these meats clearly show signs of it. Every cell is a power centre, and suitable only for the organism to w hich it belongs. Any foreign cell in the body will therefore cause damage in some way or other. A part from physical, psychological or spiritual defects, a meat diet brings about a strong binding to the earth.
