Obscure cryptids you won't find on Google.The Dolphin man of Capitola.In the 1980s there were a string of sexual assaults in the beach side town of Capitola, California. The incidents would be sporadic and occur every few months. At least six women would report that while night swimming they would be pinned down and assaulted by someone in the water. Two of the women would come forward with a description of their assailant. Both of the victims described it as a creature half man, half dolphin. The attacks themselves would be detailed as something coming from below and dragging them down for a few seconds and violating them before letting go. They would then attempt to flee ashore, only for the assault to begin again. This would continue for around three to five times before finally ending. One of the women was able to get a brief glance at the attacker amidst one of the catch and releases. Another fought back and was able to escape to the shore. Upon looking back she saw the dolphin man knee deep in the water before swimming off.
