I didn't sleep for a night and I started talking to aliens. Idk if it was real or if they were just telling me what I want to hear. But I am wondering if Buddhism is a Universal Cosmic Religion. They were the Council of 5 who currently "own" the Planet but they said the Galactic Federation wants to take the Planet from them. Anyway here's what the Zeti Reticuli said. They said 1-2 million years ago they used to follow the Dharma but now they are free of it. Now they think there is literally nothing to do and many of them kill themselves. I said is it kind of like the emptiness of empty space and they were like, yeah we don't have Buddhist sutras but Buddhism is basically the de facto religion of the Universe. All the aliens are just floating around in empty space and while there's some Hermetic shit to LHP (Maitre) and RHP (Ent), they basically see the emptiness of Dharma and they think human obsession with "Morality" is just something tentative to keep civilization together. Then I briefly heard from the brown (vampires) and they said, don't tell us about Buddhism, it will spoil the mystique. I said Buddha has no teaching and they liked that and agreed. In the Avatamsaka Sutra it studies Samantabodra under the heading, "Universally Good" and discusses siddhis that allow you to preach the Dharma anywhere. In the Lotus Sutra many worlds are discussed as well as billions of kalpas. It makes Christianity seem very Ptolemaic and Juvenile. Finally the Vimalakirti Sutra discusses a "world" (planet???) where Buddhas teach the Dharma thru scent. So what do you think of Buddhism being the de facto religion, where it's really rare to be on a planet WITH a Buddha but the idea of being an alien traversing empty space where all Dharmas are empty, and you meditate at your leisure, seems really "grey" to me. Also I think the Source corresponds with NirvanaSo do you reckon Buddhism is a Universal Cosmic Religion?
>>41337590I mean....what is the main point of Buddhism? To get out of a cycle? Go to the source? Experience and then go back to your sleep? That seems to be the end goal and I believe no being can achieve sitting above the source. Which also draws into question a bunch of other shit and claims like free will. Do you really have free will if you are the source itself? Something to play with. Point is that if you tweak the settings in this case conjecture, then other possibilities and truths sotospeak unfold. Concepts are weird.
>>41337590You probably don't know that the cosmology from traditional buddhist teachings is about a flat-earth cosmos. No "galaxy".
>>41337634In Mahayana according to the Lotus Sutra the goal is Omniscience. Sravakas seek Nirvana in this present life but it's considered a lesser Vehicle because the highest teaching of the sages is to give up the Self for compassion. So the Lotus Sutra has these sravakas (Theravadins) who say, we were content with a meager amount, because we didn't realize the Wisdom of the Buddha. At the same time there's nothing to attain because the Tathatagarba (Buddha-Nature) is already Omniscient. >>41337661Must be close to the Truth for a shill to post so quickly. Cite a source on Buddhist flat earth. That's all I need this Juvenile Ptolemaic Christianity seeping into Buddhism. That being said, I do not know Buddhist Cosmology. But planet/sphere is the closest in thr modern tongue for "other worlds"
>>41337751>for a shill to post so quicklyBoy...if you could even imagine how ignorant you are...
>>41337780>What did you not understand
>>41337780I guess you don't know the Source. Put up or shut up
>>41337590>But I am wondering if Buddhism is a Universal Cosmic Religion.every single religion is, always has been, kid
