I think it's not a waste of money, but you have to be very particular with who does it. I know if you search on tiktok you can find Bella Hadids Injector for instance. You have to research thoroughly and make sure you like all the before and after. I have quite a few tarot decks, and I'd only recommend two things are:

- Cost: The cheaper ones ($) are always printed on cheap card stock that does not do well after repetitive shuffling. The more expensive ones ($$$) are sometimes so thick they're hard to shuffle, but that's a much better problem to have.
- Art: Sometimes there's really pretty art... but the card itself is impossible to read because the art isn't connected to the meaning. e.g., the 7 of Swords is just an image with 7 swords on it... but the art doesn't really indicate deception of trickery, which is its traditional meaning.

Otherwise, though, everything else is a personal choice.

I personally like really bright and colorful cards. And if the artist slightly changes the meaning a bit, I think that's fine too, lest every deck feel the same.
