Good process in theory, fundamentally. Enlightenment comes from shattering illusions. My advice is to start small, end big (step-wise, by degrees). Work first on ridding yourself of small delusions (thoughts, emotions, actions, beliefs, etc.). Then once that work is done, larger delusions present themselves fairly obviously as repeating harmful or obstructive patterns in your life. You will not progress until the root of these blocks are understood and handled. Progress in any pursuit is all about taking away the false and seeing what is left over. You think you're ready to see, but once things begin to reveal themselves to you, once reality begins to unfold/bloom before you, in that moment, it is often difficult to not simply respond like a snail sensing an approaching finger and stop reaching and sever the connection. Simple babysteps, the sense of your awareness moving to your body's boundaries and outflowing, visual drifting/psychedelic geometry/noticing the semi-autonomy of your visual workspace, the sense of yourself collapsing to a point, whispers from your inner child/spirit, or things other; any one of these can stop you in your tracks approaching them for the first time. There are times I feel such dread doing open eye work that I stop for weeks.Don't expect to simply happen upon Nirvana. There are reasons we prefer to stay blind.
when i meditate i hear voices. random chatter of disconnected sentences spoken by people who i have interacted with, or characters i saw in a movie/ youtubers etcin uneventful days, the chatter is usually absent, sometimes complete silence and only speechless thoughts.sometimes i get 'lucky' to get the more interesting experience of hearing the chatter in other languages.i herd italian and hindi, even though i have no idea what is being spoken anyone else can have those 'halucinations'?this was very common when i was very young and i forgot i could do this, but now with meditation i remembered that i had this 'skill'sometimes as soon as "I" make myself quiet and physically relaxed enough it starts
