I lack the ability to visualize images mentallyWhat does this mean for me spiritually? Is there anyway I can develope aphantasia? I've heard people say a lack of aphantasia means someone has a materialist mindBut I'm not a materialist yet I still have the same problem
Consider it a blessing.I have had intense visions. They are not useful when doing daily tasks.
>>41359072>Is there anyway I can develope aphantasia? You already have it. Aphantasia is the lack of ability to see images in the mind.
>>41359072So you can’t fap from imagination? You can’t imagine what a girl looks like at all?
>>41359072Maybe the hardware for imagining images is underdeveloped or broken in your brainIt doesnt say much about your soul unless you have no "I" that's silently observing your own thoughts and things around you
>>41359151I kinda can but it's not vivid
if you don't have inner speechyou have no way of rejecting social pressure because you literally have no ability to analyze a thoughtform (ie, you're a golem)
>>41359147Oh shit my mistake
>>41359072>I lack the ability to visualize images mentally>What does this mean for me spirituallyWas it always the case or was your imagination better in the past as a kid? If it's the latter then it's trauma or some shit. Also i doubt that true aphantasia is actually a thing unless that person is actually not conscious
>>41359443I have critical thinking since I don't fall for government propaganda or vaccine bullshit
>>41359443>20%Pretty sure the amount is 5-10% today
>can perfectly visualise a detailed coloured apple in my thoughts, even with my eyes open>don't dream much anymore
>>41359460It's been this way since I was a small kid at least
>>41359443thoughtformpilled speechmaxxed mindsurfer analysted
>>41359072Interesting. I have the ability to imagine just about anything visually, but it's always low-def, blurry, or can't be focused on for a long time. But, not having the ability to imagine things says nothing about whether you have a soul or not, nor does the ability to have an internal monologue (the 'mind voice', like how you talk yourself through things in your own head). If you're alive, and have had experiences, you have a soul.
>>41359443>no matter how illegitimate the order isI don't believe it.
>>41359443This is no longer true. I think the internet has woken many people up to the idea that there are other alternatives to obeying whoever has the monopoly on violence in your local area. But either way this says nothing about having critical thinking capacity. Most just obey authority out of fear, for themselves or for their family. Most are not sheep.
>>41359515Already happened in 2021 and 90% supported the authorities
>>41359730It was 50-60%
>>41359482you just lack consciousness
Total bullshit. Same thing as object permanence and every human alive has that ability
>>41359072>tfw I'm a 0 or -1
>>41359072I always thought this is a meme because i can replay anything in my head and memories work like halo reach theatre mode for me. Can also imagine sounds/music too.
Everyone can do all of those, and each has its use cases. What differs is your default.Visualizing things in perfect detail is very useful for artists. Conversely, keeping thoughts in a raw, unabstracted state is useful for mathematicians.Only a midwit would say the latter person has no soul or is not as intelligent. Sometimes thinking without visual or linguistic data is a good thing. Different tasks require different abstractions.
>>41359072I think everyone can do this but everyone interprets the image differently. Some people interpret it as “literally Seeing the object as if you were viewing it with your eyes, but with your eyes closed” and I don’t think that’s what it’s conveying. Just the ability to imagine stuff within your mind. Idk where it even got this data from, like somehow enough people said “when I imagine an apple it’s in black and white” that it can be grouped into a 1-5 number? Seems suspect to me.
Aphantashia is not real. The numbers are, but they just measure practice in some basic mental skill that has been supressed amongst normies. It's just like training your muscles.
>>41360692the study is based on just 21 volunteers who had already self diagnosed themselves >Zeman's 2015 paper used the Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire (VVIQ), developed by David Marks in 1973, to evaluate the quality of the mental image of 21 self-diagnosed and self-selected participants.
different people have different apptitudes in temrs of clairvoyance or otherwise like clairsentience or clairaudiothat being said theres magick to increase your visualization abilities though it's more a self-parlor trick than anything essential
>>41360632Tfw cant imagine an appleTfw can replay through the whole silent hill 2 in my headMake it make sense
>>41359072Here's some facts:>We don't directly perceive the external world, our mind takes sense-data about the external world and processes it into an internal model that we do perceive.>This means that our daily experience is itself a visualization, the only difference between our experience and imagination is the origin of the data it's based on.>This is true of people with aphantasia, because if it wasn't, they wouldn't perceive anything.>The brain is able to rewire itself through a process known as neuroplasticity. From those facts, these conclusions follow:>The only difference between aphantasics and phantasics is that phantasics are able to receive input-data from their own mind.>An aphantasic is able to rewire their brain to receive input from their own mind.>This means that if the aphantasic makes a commitment to train themselves to visualize they can cure their condition.I hope this answers your questions. :)
>>41359072It means nothing, just that you haven't developed the ability through practice
>>41359072It means you'd be a terrible hypnotic subject. Which is a good thing.
when some one says "picture an apple" it means think of an apple not halucinate an apple. if your not blind and have seen an apple before your idea of an apple includes visual information built from your memory.i hate all you stupid monkeys.
>>41359072Reading helps a lot. Any author can tell you that you won't be able to envision shit unless you read a lot, like forever, if you stop you can't envision writing properly anymore.
>>41359730In Italy it was about 95% or even more. This is how cucked our population really is
>>41361665>when some one says "picture an apple" it means think of an apple not halucinate an apple. no, it means conjure up an image of an apple using your imagination.its a very simple concept, but impossible to grasp for subhumans suffering from aphantasia.
