Hello, /x/.After thiking for a while now, some years of reflection and instrospection, I think I understand why religion is so appealing to us, the cattle or the masses, one of the reasons actually, because there is more than one reason. Religion gives meaning to them. Even if the religion is a fake one, it sill will give meaning to the people. Life has no meaning. I think most of us will agree with this, even the so called christians will agree that life has no meaning (and they even say that life has only meaning when you consider God in the equation). So again, life has no meaning and while life has no meaning we have this desire to have meaning, otherwise why are we here if we have no meaning? And in this search for meaning is when religion gets the hold of the cattle. In order to give meaning to their lives they turn to religions like christianity which will say that the meaning of life is to worship and serve God. And God will use his elected ones, people like the pope, to make know what His Will is. Of course, there's no way for the cattle to really know if the pope indeed speaks with God. The signs show that if the pope is talking to someone then that someone is the one so called Satan, the evil one.I now understand better why some people here consider it a weakness when someone turns to religion. It's because that person who did turn to religion can't give meaning to her own life so he/she needs religion, and a religion is fabrication to give just that. If you manage to create a religion which is appealing enough, you can give meaning to people's lives and at the same time you become this figure higher than life, a messiah. We crave for meaning and people exploit that. I'm grateful towards this place because this place made me realize hidden secrets. We don't need religion. We don't need christianity. All we need is already given.
