The " Penny " is the Mark of the Beast in Revelations.

Matthew 6:24 (New International Version) states,

24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

And in Revelations when discussing the Mark of the Beast,

16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[e] That number is 666.

The Mark on the Forehead (and the number of a Man) refer to the " heads " or face side of a coin.

And the " right hand " refers to exchanging currency (done by hand).

Additionally, " so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, " only makes sense in the context of currency.

In the Strongs dictionary, (which you can view the context for the word " Mark " here https://godrules.net/library/strongs2b/gre5480.htm) the context can be interpreted as " a scratch or etching ".

Additionally, in a modern context, a one-cent American coin can be referred to as a " Penny " which, when put into Gematrix as " Penny Mark " has a value of 666.
