Arguably, if you believe in karma, not just those but many institutions of worldly life are like that, also from ancient history till now. Criminal gangs, militaries, government, law enforcement, espionage/intelligence agencies, the education system, the world of work (whether as extreme as slavery or indentured servitude, or just the various corporate jobs of today), etc.

You have never had to scrape paint in 90 degree sun or apply paint in 40 degree wind + clouds, there was no psychological torture in my grocery store job compared to other jobs.
At least I could think in those, in other jobs I'm constantly moving and the boomer radio is on frying my brain with the same stories 40 hours a week they told last week.

But there is something demonic about the hierarchical structure taken for granted in 99% of lower paying jobs, yes.

I think the wheat is evil, modern wheat and it's harvested by spraying roundup on it to dry and kill the plants, then it's harvested without it being washed off. People that give me bad vibes always offer me crappy wheat products or junk food.
