I have a question: Has anyone had any paranormal experiences when they were children? I feel like kids have a higher sense of awareness towards supernatural stuff. When I was a kid, my parents got divorced and soon after, my dad and his girlfriend moved into an apartment together. I mostly stayed with my mom, but I'd visit my dad on the weekends. I liked being there because it felt more stable than my mom's place, because she was very emotionally turbulent at the time and got mad at me often for things I didn't do.I don't know if it was the stress of the situation or what, but I believe that apartment was haunted. I never saw anything, but at night, footsteps would walk to the bathroom even when I saw that nobody was there. I was always afraid to look into the hallway for some reason and would avert my eyes at all times. I would lose a lot of things, like things would go missing if I wasn't paying attention to them and I'd get in trouble over it constantly. Later on, my grandmother, who has had a history of psychic abilities like premonition and seeing ghosts, supposedly, said that the place was restless. It turns out that my dad had gotten her to go there and sit quietly in a room to see if she could sense anything, and she said that there was a presence. My dad also said that a glass shattered in his hands one morning but I never saw this. He's not the kind of person to lie about this, but I only really want to relay stuff I know from experience. So, anons... Do you guys have any stories from your childhoods as well?

>>41376260I was younger, before 3rd grade. Live in two story two bed 1 and half bath with basement. Little kid, generally sleep in whitie tighties, get up middle of night to go bathroom so I don't piss my bed. Me and my brother each had a bunk bed but separate rooms. Don't ask me why but that's how it was and often we'd go to the others bunk bed when we had bad dreams or just being scared kids. I preferred to sleep on the top bunk in my room. Felt more like a watch tower. I start climbing down to go to the bathroom, mind you I'm wearing nothing but briefs. As soon as I start walking towards the bedroom door it felt like something pulled on me. Like the sensation of when someone firmly grabs you by your shirt from between the shoulder blades? Went tumbling forward, didn't even dare turn back. Went zooming out and when I saw the downstairs living room light was on I called out to Mom who grabbed a renfair toy sword I had left downstairs. She didn't find anything. But I still remember the fear I felt at that time. Family was "haunted" for a time. Bad dreams, shadows spotted. Not all the time but generally events would happen to each person during the same time frame. Mom and Dad have seen shadow folks. My Step Father saw the Hat Man knocking on the inside of his garage door when he was in highschool and he fucking ducked out a window instead of dealing with that.

the younger you are, the closer to the source
When i was in my early teens, I would visit my dad every other weekend since my parents had divorced at the time. The apartment was quite packed since there were only 2 rooms. My brother and step brother shared a room, my dad and his new wife slept in the master, and that left me the living room couch to sleep on. Its been so long and I can't pin point exactly when the paranormal occurances started but looking back my god that apartment gives me the fucking heebie jeebies. My earliest recollection would be when I woke up in the middle of the night hearing the kitchen cabinets opening and closing. I could hear the cabinet doors bounce, like if you were to flick them open slightly with your finger repeatedly. It was confusion, realization, then deep cold fear. It being pitch black and being alone didn't help either. I forced myself to ignore and sleep through these occurances. I was always too scared to investigate. These always occured at night when everyone was asleep, not even 9pm or anything, usually 12 or later. Another night I audibly heard tapping on our glass dining table we had in our living room about 12 feet in front to the right from me. On and off, random no pattern, long repeated - short. Then onto the glass sliding door to the 2nd floor balcony. Scared the absolute shit out of me, forced myself to ignore it and sleep. It felt extremely cold when these happened which is commonly described in paranormal experiences. Another night I witnessed the hallway light leading to my brothers bedroom flicker on and off, I AUDIBLY heard the fucking switch move. From where the couch was I had a good view down most of the hallway and a clear view of where the switch was, if anyone was there I would see them. Absolute cold fear would run down my spine. STILL, I forced myself to ignore and sleep through it somehow. Another night I lost it. I was awake in the middle of the night, cold as fuck, scared, im sitting upright on the couch covering myself- >>CONT.
>>41376260- as means of comforting myself. So much anxiety, I'm just anticipating. I'm just looking out, scanning, I sort of see movement but I'm unsure its very very dark. Something catches my eye in a spot, I stare in that area, then, I just see a fucking black void figure slide in, and sort of materialize and appear in that spot, it stays. There is very very dark that you can recognize with your eyes and its kind of staticy, then there is fucking VOID BLACK NOTHINGNESS. My eyes widen, absolute deep cold terror, I absolutely lose my fucking shit. I essentially charge/RUN through this thing to my father's door which is all the way to far-ish right of the living room screaming and crying "DAD, DAD, DAD" while banging on his door. He opens the door, and I quickly spew out an expanation that made no sense in a paniced state. My dad has just woken up still disoriented from sleep and basically told me "what, what? just go back to bed" and closed the door. I grabbed my blanket and pillow, and I don't remember if I either slept on the floor of my brother's room, or if it was locked or something and I slept in the bathroom at the end of the hallway with the light on for the rest of the night. I do recall sleep in that bathroom a couple times out of fear. I am not bullshitting or being hyperbolic. I have another instance in that apartment that happened in broad daylight that my brothers witnessed with me
