Ignoring the misuse of the word creepypasta and general reddit slop nature of these, what's the deal with this particular "genre"? Ideas include:
-Social conditoning (follow the rules mindlessly, have faith in the rules, trust the plan, etc).
-BAckdrop to pair with subliminals (people fall asleep wearing headphones listening to these)
-A convenient way for AI to generate stories, as rules provide a set of rigid constrains it can write around easily. So an automated system maybe uses remote sensing to read certain people's daily life and thoughts, feeds it to AI to generate a story, auto-posts it to reddit, then AI channels with AI narrators put it up on youtube and drop it into relevant user's recommended. ie, a lot of these are based on my daily life, right down to extremely rare names and dreams being incorporated into stories and uploaded then dropped in my recommended a few days later.

Thoughts? Shit's weird. No one likes these "rules" stories if you read through the comments, but every major channel that built themselves up on stuff that seemed like legit human written short stories now does them exclusively. It seems like a weird type of brainwashing, or post hypnotic reinforcement regimes.
