>>41394080I don't know if it's a mood or a mindset that I'm trying to replicate, all I know is that it isn't really here a lot.For once, I would just like to see what happens when I live in a species that actively pursues the general improvement of the lives of the species as a whole simply on a metric to reduce unjust suffering and exploitation. Just feels like something that should be a default that...somehow isn't. I honestly can't wrap my mind around it. History is riddled from the very inception of human society with layers upon layers upon layers upon layers of exploitation and undue suffering for some of the most petty and ludicrously horrible of causes. Then as humanity develops, they figure out that "oh, turns out starving slaves to death isn't a good idea. Let's feed them bare minimum." As if it's some monumental achievement in morality.Everything just feels wring, yet I have no power to really change it. Perhaps it's because I'm not supposed to 'stay here' in one way or another.
