Where do my fellow crystalfags stand on this debate? I personally tend to think of lab made ones being the equivalent of a new born because while that are made of same material as natural ones they don’t have the years or wisdom of the natural ones. If my thought process is I’m willing to bet that they do have their place for healing and symbolism but I’m not sure what that is yet? What do you think anons?

Be careful with gems in general.
Especially piezo crystals (quarz) mostly suck energy. Never wear quarz watches or place computers in your bedroom. Stick to historic roman or egypt stones and jewels. The ancients knew the art of choosing the right stones. It's mostly lost today and stone dealers are merchants with theeir little marketing storys. You won't find secret knowledge in a shop.

Natural crystals were playing their intended role for nature before being getting taken from there to be sold, not to mention the physical damage caused to nature when extracting them, so man-made ones are the most ethical choice, and will be the way to go in the future.
But that isn't always possible, so until they're easily available, I think it's understandable to buy natural ones, and I actually bought some myself a few weeks ago.

No, man made us shit, also dyed crystals are shit, they boil them in a pressure cooker full of dye. A lot of the “beautiful agate” is dyed like this, natural agate is grey usually, but they add color to it.

Get natural crystals, that’s the way.

Real gems have a type of soul because they've been weaved into the fabric of time for a long time. Artificial gems don't have that but possess the transformative properties of the original gem. You essentially get no assistance from the gem at all, but if you know how to use it to transform energy at least you don't get unwanted interference. The unnatural breaking of the crystal lattice where the gem had no time to decompress could be dangerous as you will have runaway energy in narrow spikes like throwing needles around the room. Lack of contaminants can change the overall throughput of the crystal, they usually mellow it down and diffuse. A clear artificial gem has no obstruction and you can overfocus, even get a reflection back at you.

Essentially, good tool but requires extreme expertise and it isn't for every problem

Crystal store memories of the energies they are exposed to over time. This means that lab stones are souless clones.
Flame fusion sapphires can be really cheap, so if you want to experience cheap gemstone energy, then might as well go for it. But as your sensitivity to crystal energy gets refined, you might prefer a 10$ ruby tumble stone that is natural, to a 50$ flame fusion lab ruby that has no soul.
One exception is that hydrothermal ruby has surprisingly good energy for being a lab stone.

Jyotish recomends chanting mantra with a gemstone, to lock in those auspicious energies.

The point of lab-making is to make something fascinating that can't be replicated naturally. In there, the art is in the creation of something artificial but mesmerizing.

Natural crystals are just fascinating in general because they were essentially made by raw applications of chaos. In a sense, they are order through chaos.

>why are old natural crystals more kino and why do lab grown ones feel and look like they came out of a gumball machine
crystals generally store “time” very well, to the extent that the frequency of some crystals can actually increase over time. crystals also lose their frequency, but due to acute changes in environmental factors like heat and moisture more than the simple passing of time.
in fact, quartz crystals manufactured for use in clocks are often “pre-aged”, or superheated after manufacture to reduce the amount of frequency change the crystal experiences over time. since loss of frequency is logarithmic (meaning it decreases/changes the most just after manufacturing), a pre aged crystal is thought to be more reliable than a “new born” crystal.
