This is sort of a schizo post I guess, but I have a question. A question that requires some context.

Some months ago I had formed an intent to grow my own mushrooms, which I did, and then use them as I delved deep into meditation. I contemplated much of what I've learned of various beliefs, rituals, metaphysical theories, schizo theories, and allowed myself to become detached I suppose I could say.

During the trip I felt I had the intuition that I could depart from my body in a certain way. The closest way I could describe it is imagine you're in a body of water, and only your face crests above the surface. I wanted to leave, I was so curious to see what would it be like to let go but I hesitated. Selfishly, I didn't want to go because I didn't want to leave my attachments. I didn't want to leave my dogs behind, nor did I want to leave my brothers without me. I've thought about it a lot since the event. I made the conscious decision to stay here because of my attachments, yet I still desire to depart.

My question then is, if I go, is there a way back? I'll miss them terribly if I departed abruptly, and I know they'd miss me, but I also have this yearning to explore beyond! To explore the infinite universe sounds like a wonderful existence, yet the comfort of home is a delight in its own right. It's puzzling to be sure.

Nah, once you go it’s over, can’t go, gotta stay, that’s what they say, they’ll keep you here if you have any sort of destiny, they’ll lie to you, stop taking shrooms tho.

So it's an all or nothing kind of deal huh? Damn.

Youre talking about astral projection. Yes its possible but some people have major diffuculties.

This but also it's not something you should do as a complete beginner. You're exiting your body. Obviously that leaves it open for other things to come in and try to hijack. The astral isn't empty either and things can sense you once you're there. At least leave your body in a circle of salt OP.

What is it like to have something worth living for?

Like leaving a piece of your heart behind

Vadim Zeland talks about people disappearing in Reality Transurfing. Don Juan mentioned sorcerers going to other bands of emanations in the Castaneda books. It's not advised to venture to such realms willy nilly just to satisfy one's base curiosity. Maybe some lost advanced civilizations disappeared enmass in such a way. It's probabally best to at lest have a guide when entering the turf of beings you can't comprehend.

Duly noted on the circle of salt. And you're right, the astral isn't empty, foolishly I had believed that prior to this experience. Thankfully I didn't have any interactions with these entities but I did notice that I've had an increased interest in DMT entities and the concept of the astral jesters, ever since that night. I didn't go into it looking for them or even understanding what they were and yet for some reason the thought of those creatures crept into my noggin and haven't left. I'd like to meet one and learn from them if I could

Thank you for the name drops. I'm going to do some research and some reading to expand my knowledge on the matter

Thank you all for your responses, out of all the threads on /x/ y'all decided to post And share your knowledge here, I appreciate that

It can be very confusing and difficult to get back. Your best bet is to be a sort of shiva worshipper, identifying with nothing, seeing it all as illusory. I haven't done anything of that sort, never done mushrooms, but I've gotten stuck in sorts of metaphysical whirlpools for very very long especially after weed and the sort. In fact just typing this I saw a splash of yellow over the text and I've never had such a type of illusion before.

That poster is literally retarded. You'll be fine. Shrooms are great, but make sure to take lengthy rest periods once in a while.

I had several dreams where I could potentially be stuck "forever" but if you ignore the anxiety driven message you can see its just your concioussness interacting with you on a deeply personal level and can be modified to any desire you seek. Then you wake up again

No. If you go you're gone.
