ITT we discuss the TI phenomenon, which has exploded in relevance as the number of people suddenly afflicted with symptoms resembling schizophrenia or suddenly proclaiming religious communion, demonic possession, or extraterrestrial contact have risen sharply since around 2020. For some, it's an obvious diagnosis, but the symptoms are incredibly inconsistent with what mainstream science says of the disorders that the layman may mistake this thing as. For those suffering from it, it goes by many other names.

A lot of us go down the therapy and meds route, but eventually when those stop working and nothing changes, as those voices we all experience take the mask off and behave in ways a mental illness never could - such as reacting in real time with planning and malice to our every thought and action - it makes sense that we'd look externally for answers. Turns out it's a hell of a rabbit hole. While it's impossible to figure out specifics, we do know it ain't supernatural. We don't know who or what is doing it, but the technology required to cause the effects we experience exists and has existed for a long time, albeit in more primitive forms.

This thread is here for discussing the topic and to offer resources that may help any targeted persons figure out their own situation and work through it in a healthy, proactive kind of way. You probably know as much as I do by now that there isn't a reasonable way to put a stop to it, but fortunately you can live a relatively normal life in spite of the ongoing harassment.

Pic adjacently related. It's a good example of misinformative resources. A lot of the things listed in it can be much more easily explained by extensive use of suggestion, subaudible cues, and various technologies for monitoring. Notice how the claims strongly imply that 'they' have a high degree of control over you and your bodily autonomy. I don't buy it. My lived experience proves otherwise every day.

Instead of devolving into endless arguments over the most basic of details, we try to help each other survive and thrive amongst this bullshit. Share anything that has helped you. Resources below. Hope some of it helps!

What is it - is it mental disorder or something external?
> Far too many of us ending up thinking we're just having hallucinations because that's what everyone says it is, and far too many people who have a genuine mental illness beginning to manifest bumping into a TI thread and accepting this as the explanation, never getting the treatment they need. There's a lot of really unfortunate overlap. No matter what case you fall under, you deserve better.

Overcoming the phenomena - What worked for me to regain sense of agency and control over my life despite the ongoing experiences. This one was written using two years of my journal entries, which I began using at some point to keep track of my own day to day life as well as whatever they were trying that particular day.
Patterns do emerge over time. You definitely begin to notice things. Plus, the act of getting all that info out of your head and onto some paper / a doc helps a lot with mental health in general.

The goal of isolation and doubt - why they want you alone, unsure, and without a support network
This dives into the methodology and reasons behind why they focus so much on getting you to self-isolate, whether by simulating conversations between people you know to make you distrust them or just by stress and overwhelm.
> NOTE: Any TI's here that are thinking their friends, family, coworkers, even neighbors are somehow spying on them or working for the government or in any way are seeming to act shady, make sure you double-check your perceptions. Most people are well-meaning, no matter how much circumstantial evidence the voices peddle out to support the gestating mistrust of those closest to you.

Semi related, this thread goes into the motivations behind why they would do things in such a convoluted way. A lot of it is long-term social and psychological breakdown and conditioning.

Debunking a lot of the spooky airs around how this thing is done to us. No specifics are known but a lot of people smarter than me have worked out what it could be.

Occam's Laser
> Too often we fall into squabbling over the most fundamental of details. To some extent, this is intentional, but far more cause can be attributed to simpler causes such as the misinformed spreading what they have come to believe is true. I don't pretend to know what this thing IS, but it is clear what it is NOT and why it appears to be those things. This goes in depth on that.

Some spicier stuff:
How to handle provoking the perpetrators safely and effectively:
This is basically how I learned all that I know about this thing, besides corroborating it with other TI's experiences. It leads to a lot more "interaction" from them, but sometimes you can turn that into an advantage as you learn a lot more about their motives, what their tech can and can't do, and most importantly that they genuinely can't do shit to you. Not really. As a habitual linecrosser, the threats come constantly but not a single one has been made good on.

Focus study on the "thought insertion / injection" thing some of us experience. Turns out it's just suggestion, subaudlble cues, and a *lot* of behavioral training over a long time to try to shape the way you perceive things. If you think you're being mind controlled, you aren't, they're just very convincing about it.
