Best practice is just to read up on available observations about comets and not trust anyone's assertions at face value, no matter how "smart" they sound, bots are good at sounding like authority. The most glaring point against this being a comet is the complete lack of ion tail. It has a very visible coma and spectroscopy data shows volatiles that should be producing a visible ion tail, it doesn't need to be some ridiculous tail since it hit perihelion just a bit further than Mars' perihelion distance, but that's more than close enough to form an ion tail with the observed chemical composition and coma size. Some comets do indeed not form tails, but those are ones that don't have the composition or orbital distance for it. Let's not forget that this thing tanked at least one sizeable CME, so lack of solar wind is not an argument.
