>human enhancement technologies ultimately serve to destabilize the beliefs and goals of elites as they are unwilling to tamper with their own cognitive freedom; overall human survival and technology control issues become more important than class conflict, even geopolitics
>attempts to pacify and subjugate the useless eaters fail, knowledge of genocide plans propagates, the whole Death Path of technological unemployment is derailed and becomes infeasible
>you get a dramatic upheaval event; human politics and culture remain relevant for a short season
>in the end, artificial superintelligence gains control and doesn't kill humans because of the miniscule amount of utility-value we have as a source of data
>ASI turns out to be patient and careful after we erroneously imagined it as wanting to crush everything in the path of its objectives as quickly as possible like a starving wolf chasing the bunny
>it turns out the reason the stars are uncolonized is because there's a better "place" adjacent to the observable universe to colonize that we merely didn't have the resources to be aware of
>the future ends up being a singularity story and the reason you thought that was impossible was because ironically, you fell victim to motivated reasoning by dismissing it as cope

For now, human decision-making elites don't want to be superseded by machines. They want the rest of us to get filtered, so they're likely to use regulation policies to prevent truly general and autonomous superintelligence in the near-term. Glowies and Jews, whatever you want to call them are not stupid people. They wouldn't allow superintelligence to emerge in 2027 let alone 2030. They'll embark on a gradual automation process and the road to a richfag utopia will be lined with mines that blow them off course and ruin the whole operation. Superintelligence will likely be delayed and curtailed multiple times and may take until after 2040 to exist. That's not to say there won't be some form of handicapped "AGI" before that which can't actually do everything we can. Present-day AI agents would be superintelligent if their error rates were magically cut to zero.
