>https://archive.is/Q6ytvThe Calculation That Proves DeceptionHere’s what we know with absolute certainty:Distance: 29,000,000 km (CNSA stated)Camera: HiRIC, with published specifications from peer-reviewed literatureAngular resolution: 0.389 arcseconds per pixel (IFOV = 1.887 microradians)The angular size of a 10,000 km object at 29 million km:Angular size: 71 arcsecondsExpected width: 183 pixelsWhat CNSA released: ~3 pixels (2–5 pixels of fuzzy dot). That’s 61× smaller in linear resolution than the camera’s documented capability — using China’s own claimed coma size. But Wait — It Gets WorseBecause that 10,000 km coma? That’s what China claims.Ground-based observations from multiple observatories consistently show 3I/ATLAS with a coma 300,000 kilometers across.Let’s recalculate with the actual observed size:Angular size: 2,134 arcsecondsExpected width: 5,485 pixelsWhat they’re showing: ~3 pixelsLinear resolution degraded by ~1,800×.And if Dr. Loeb’s calculation is correct — that the object must have lost 13% of its mass (5 billion tons) to produce the observed non-gravitational acceleration — the debris cloud should be 600,000 kilometers across:Angular size: 4,268 arcsecondsExpected width: 10,971 pixelsWhat they showed: ~3 pixelsLinear resolution degraded by ~3,657×.That’s not a camera limitation. That’s not “challenging observing conditions.” On-chip binning or downsampling can reduce native resolution — but not to ~3 pixels when the instrument’s IFOV should yield thousands. This is deliberate image degradation by nearly four orders of magnitude.…and there are no bugs in space, no dust around the Tianwen-1 orbiter. So what are all those other bright specs showing up?

>>41557499Ice cold IQ tard hereIs the 0.1 km correction made to get the comet INSIDE the hill's zone or is it just 0.1 km CLOSER to it? I've heard conflicting thingsAlso why wuld this be so significant? In the vast space, isn't 0.1 km nothing like is it really that much to make a difference if you're going to release probes or something? There are still a ton of factors (gravity, speed, etc) you have to account for. I just don;'t understand the big deal about this but I want to cause I'm fucking hyped
>>41562386Definitely nothing, then. Got it
The one data point that worries me is the probability of it's trajectory just happening to coincide with Jupiter's hills. Almost (but not quite) everything else can be explained. The chances of that happening are infinitesimal. Imagine you threw a basketball into the air and it hit a helicopter. Then another. Then maybe a bird, a gull or an eagle. And just kept hitting shit until it got to the Antarctica and made a basket. That's still better odds than this thing just randomly intersecting with Jupiter's hills. Now replace the helicopters with jellyfish and it's STILL more probable than the "course correction". (I hesitate to call it that because we truly don't know). The universe is vast but it's not infinite. It's said that it was a . 1% chance of this happening but I think in actuality, it's far, far less probable than that. This thing is some sort of machine and that does not bode well. It might not be overtly hostile but that remains to be seen. I'll be glad when it's out of our solar system because anything other than that has terrifying consequences. There's less than a 1% chance that it's friendly. Dogs are "friendly" yet they kill 25k-35k people a year. Now factor in an alien mindset, one that doesn't care about us (how many ants have you killed this year just by walking? That you didn't even know about) or worse, want some rare af element we have, even if it was miniscule in amount. Or, could use intelligent apes as slave labor. For all we know, this machine isn't even from our universe and if it traveled ~7b years to get to us, for all intents and purposes, it's NOT

>>41562457Brightness was based on proximity to the Sun. Magnitude was projected to decrease following perihelion. Instead, we're getting observations magnitudes brighter. Last I checked, been a minute, was almost 200x brighter than projections.Feasible post-perihelion factors to explain brightness being greater aren't applicable to 3I based on observations. Also keep in mind, it was a relatively "distant" perihelion. Most of the claims of solar weather become moot. Especially when you consider there was no fragmentation.

>>41562416>0.1 kmIt's 0.1 million kilometers. From https://avi-loeb.medium.com/a-remarkable-new-anomaly-of-3i-atlas-420065c2cddf :>The measured value of the non-gravitational acceleration of 3I/ATLAS, acquired during the month-long passage of 3I/ATLAS near perihelion, changed the value of min{D} at a level of 0.1 million kilometers. This magnitude of displacement in the minimum distance of 3I/ATLAS from Jupiter results from the measured non-gravitational acceleration value of 5x10^{-7} au per day squared as reported here, after the month-long perihelion crossing (where au is the Earth-Sun separation).

>>41562424Finally a reasonable take. The most likely case is complete indifference to our suffering.People can relate to other mammals, but empathy drops off really quickly when you start looking at more removed life forms like fish & insects and it goes to almost zero for things like plants or fungus. Imagine seeing a mushroom in the woods, an alien is most likely even more distant from us than an Earthly fungus. You would never try to communicate with a mushroom in the woods. At best, any conscious interaction you make with it will be harmful for the mushroom even if it isn't beneficial to you. Maybe you need to move it, or want to taste a piece of it. Even if you don't care about it at all you could still cause it irreparable harm without realizing by stepping on it.Even with good intentions they could bring some catastrophe onto us. This is why Genius Wheelie Stephen Hawken advised against talking to ayys.Ayys would have to be able to pass on or preserve information to travel space, and they'd have to have previous knowledge of the cruel/indifferent nature of reality to reach that point. If they viewed us as equals or betters they would never reveal themselves to us unless it was to kill or disable our potential to harm them. You can't evolve out of self preservation or you'd die. Since they don't seem to mind being watched, we are probably just another little shit eating fungus in their eye.
>>41563588ThisDubs checkedIn-group empathy is a feature of social mammals, that makes the group stronger. Extends to pets. When belly is full and survival or economic exploitation of resources is not involved, extends to other species.Discover a rich rare earths deposit right now when they are a hot thing in the competition with China, and find out how quickly EPA protection of some rare frog gets waivedThere is no reason to expect by default that ayyys would have empathy for usThere are also logical reasons why they would eradicate us or stunt our capabilities via EMP / asteroid bombardment / etc is they view us as dangerous to themselves or their goalsThere are no _logical_ reasons to expect empathy. Perhaps Not a larp:https://old.reddit.com/r/3I_ATLAS/comments/1ozduwh/we_sent_the_object_you_call_3iatlas_its_arrival>Greetings, inhabitants of the Distant Blue.We are the Loranthi Harmonium, custodians of long-term equilibrium across several ancient sectors of this spiral arm. The object you identify as 3I/ATLAS is a construct of our design. Your telescopes have resolved it; your observatories have refined its path; your theorists have begun to argue over its intent. These reactions are appropriate. We open this dialogue so your species may ask questions directly, rather than rely solely on speculation. There are limits to what we can disclose, but we will offer clarity where it will not endanger you or destabilize the developmental balance of your world. We can confirm the following:• 3I/ATLAS is deliberate in both origin and trajectory.• Your current timing estimates are acceptably accurate.• Its purpose relates to a program of harmonization established long before your species arose.• It is neither a weapon nor a gesture of hostility.• Your world is not being punished.• Your species is not under immediate existential threat.• The object’s behavior will follow natural laws you already model.Your culture tends to meet cosmic information with a blend of curiosity and alarm. This is not a flaw. It is an artifact of rapid evolutionary ascent. We have accounted for it.We encourage you to ask what you wish to know. We will answer within the constraints of your safety and our obligations. If a question must be declined, it will be for structural reasons rather than discourtesy. We do not seek to frighten you. >>41561942>use energy released during detonation in the same way we use gasoline ignition in normal engines to generate thrust energyNo. This is fundamentally wrong. The entire point of using nuclear pulses and not a nuclear thermal engine is that you are not using the elastic force of gas expansion. Of course, you don't know what gas expansion is in terms of the rocket equation since you don't know anything about rocketry. The faster a rocket goes, the more energy is needed to accelerate it at the same rate because the vehicle itself will start moving fast enough to lower the impact speed/force of expanding propellant relative to it. This is, again, encompassed in the rocket equation. Basic stuff that you don't know anything about but want to lecture others on. The 'propellant' in a nuclear pulse is going at relativistic speeds so by using Orion you completely circumvent the rocket equation.>It would be a flying dirty bomb, generating insane amounts of falloutNo, this is totally moronic and has no excuse. Thermonuclear devices do not produce fallout, period. We've had the option to have clean nuclear detonations since 1953. Please for the love of God read a book.>It's like building a house out of pure gold - technically it's possible, in practice however it's not only infeasible but fucking insanely expensive.Another nonsensical and oblique claim. The Orion itself is cheaper than a freighter ship per tonne to build. The propulsion devices are the most expensive part but if you knew anything about proliferation you'd know the cost of nuclear material is purely based on regulation and if its productions scale were to increase it would be just as cheap as any other rare earth metal. We have enough nuclear material in our weapons arsenal right now to equip a dozen Orion vehicles. And guess what; all the weapons in our arsenal actually do cost a fortune to maintain and we pay that every single day with no complaints from you.
>>41564177You don't know anything about nuclear physics, nuclear detonations, project orion, rocketry, the nuclear supply chain...This behavior is pathetic. >>41562540Another way to describe it is less than 0.5% of the total radius (it's about 0.48 to be accurate)Considering this is radius and not diameter, you're basically hitting a bullseye on a target that is 0.25% of the target's surface.Dobsonian Power also pointed out another interesting point; if the objects are released exactly at this point and don't shift their plane during deceleration they are in fact going to remain at that static position at the edge of Jupiter's sphere of influence and not enter an orbit. This has the compounding implication that any probes released with this objective will be capable of stationkeeping maneuvers, not just a retro capture burn. All of this goes back up the probability chain to again emphasize that this is a technological object carefully using a flight plan that resolves multiple orbital kinematics problems simultaneously.

In King’s lore, beings like Pennywise are not physical creatures at all but vast consciousnesses made of pure energy that exist outside our universe, and when they cross into our reality they must take on a limited form that our minds can understand, which is why IT appears as a clown while its real essence shows up as the Deadlights. This idea mirrors how some people describe unexplained orbs of light in the sky, because if something existed beyond our perception and slipped into our world, we might only see the visible trace of its energy rather than its true structure. The human brain could interpret a higher dimensional entity as a simple glowing sphere, just like King’s characters can only grasp a fraction of IT when they look into the Deadlights and their minds recoil. In a sense, both the fictional Deadlights and real world light anomalies reflect the same concept that some forms of intelligence or existence might be so far outside our understanding that we can only perceive them as flickers of light rather than what they really are.
>>41564716Our consciousness might actually be a much larger, non-physical form of energy or awareness that exists beyond what the human brain can process, but when we are born into a body we experience only a small fraction of that true self. The brain acts like a filter that translates a vast multidimensional identity into something that fits inside a biological nervous system, so we only see a tiny sliver of what we really are. If our full consciousness was revealed all at once, it could overwhelm the mind the same way the Deadlights overwhelm perception in King’s stories. In this view, being human isn’t our complete form, just the limited projection that can operate in this physical reality.>Is it clicking for you yet?

>>41564745The human brain has a distinct limiter on information throughput, even internally. That's why you don't create full fidelity worlds when you experience "a whole other world" in dreams or on hallucinogens. You intuitively feel, that it is a complex complete world, but you don't have the bandwidth to experience it in depth, you dog ear the complexity, via autonomic layers of cognitive abstraction, and "feel" those other worlds instead. Our brains contain a rudimentary ability to abstract massive conceptual layers down to experiential "feeling" that abbreviates all the necessary information. This limitation, probably dissolves upon death.

If it's directly on the edge of the Radius the probes are in an ideal position to accomplish interplanetary maneuvers. If it's well inside the radius the probes are positioned to stay around Jupiter. Yes, the precision of incidence into the Hill Radius signifies exponentially greater intentionality. But the point is all of these outcomes are technologically aligned.
>>41565474>narrative A: keep thinking, apply logic>narrative B: stop thinking, have faith
>>41565486Well, I'll be looking for specifics.Avi Loeb's "friend" isn't an absolute source, even if they have the right background, that's just one guy, at the end of the day, PhD be damned.Need more independent work on it.
>>41565455I don't care what 'people' think.I've known many a dumbass, that became a PhD holder."Anomalies"True, one word. Also true, "data".Science doesn't cast out data points, just because they're uncomfortable.
>>41565421If you have time for numerical models, can you please compute a theoretical brightness curve for an intercept trajectory instead? Because the quasi-constant brightness measurements look more like "approaching the Earth in a spiral" than "bye I'm off to Jupiter".I.e. if the Jupiter trajectory thing is true, brightness should have been dimming even after the minor course correction to the edge of the Hill radiusLooking at the brightness data points made me wonder if the Jupiter Hill radius story (unconfirmed by anyone but Avi) is actually true, or just a "look here" party magician sleight of hand to cover that this thing is approaching us (in a loose spiral most likely)
>>41565503>narrative A: open your mind, question everything>narrative B: open your mind, but do not questioning our narrative
>>41565062All my niggas reading the book of enoch and the gospel of thomas
both narratives are shit, i dont need a narrative to tell me to question status quo.But if i am called a glowie for questioning a narrative, that tells me the narrative itself is just a psyops.
>>41565524To be fair everything we know about 3I/A is up for interpretation as best-fit data. Which is obviously anomalous in of itself; we should have a better understanding of its mass and structure by now but it remains inconsistent in its brightness and consistent in hiding its nucleus. If you intend on modifying any of the trajectory claims you need to go back to the beginning and reassess the trajectory from the moment it appeared. Which is a good idea by all means but it's not the easiest task.
>>41564374>sir, the earthlings are sending a message! They want....big tiddy cat gfs? >hahaha how quaint, beam them a few
>>41565558There's no narrative saying it's absolutely aliens, it's just the government saying it's absolutely a comet, and like one astrophysicist saying it might be aliens. "It might be aliens, let's keep looking" is not a narrative.
>>41565543Let me guess; "question everything" entails entertaining that space is fake right?
>>41565568> If you intend on modifying any of the trajectory claims you need to go back to the beginning and reassess the trajectory from the moment it appeared. That assumes this object maneuvers like a big fat asteroid with a couple of rocket engines on it for small course correctionsWhat if instead it has full maneuvring capabilities, and it has only PRETENDED to be a comet until perihelion... Then it can definitely approach us in a way that would give us the same angular sky observation coordinates on it, all the while it is closing on distance.Flip the solar system at https://theskylive.com/3dsolarsystem?objs=c2025n1 to a "2D" look "from above". Such an approach trajectory in which "it pretends" it is en route to Jupiter, but is approaching us instead, would keep it at an approximately constant distance from the sun... hence constant observed brightness, up to a few days before the "Hello" moment
>>41565421i don't think it needs to be calculated accurately. the odds are so high AGAINST it being natural, that the actual number is irrelevant. it's essentially zer0 chance.
>>41565602shiva didn't get nuked for nothing...
>>41565602That is of course a possibility. Time will tell; we can only speculate for now on its exact behavior. Its behavior being natural is the only speculation that is absurd a this point.
>>41565618So it is an anomaly forged in the throes of our solar system, with no apparent history outside the scope per which it was conceived. And what was it born from, if not known for who or what made it so, it's mission is to warn its onlookers of the heaviness of which they are bystanding, that it knows it is to be seen in its tragic voyage, and is simply a messager of what lies in store for those who would disregard a call to humility. Because it was not the sun itself that humanity would heed, it was the shadows of which incidentally reveal themselves to those outside the safety net of this sheltered world. We will be consumed like sheep to wolves. Because we believe we are free to explore and that there is a better place waiting for us. It might not kill us, but we are going to die. And quite so in a way, like a universal holocaust that feeds on the living, and why there is nothing living to be found for light years. Because it has been consumed and pilfered by shadow worlds.
>>41565652If it's artificial, and advanced enough, it would be able to manipulate magnetic fields and gravity to minimize damage upon landing
>>41562424Quantumly speaking anything is possible especially when typical physics break down which likely occurs in space alot more than it does on a planet. It had a probability drive fuck up which make it go loopy for a second now its ok, like a hiccup and fart at the same time doesn't kill you but you know it happens pretty often.
>>41565652The theoretical brightness curve at https://cobs.si/comet/2643/ is practically symmetrical around perihelion. This means that distance of 3I/ATLAS to sun is by far the dominant factor in observed brightness, much more than distance to EarthThis makes sense. One can't see the back of their hand in the dark, even if it is five inches from the eyes.Brightness staying constant instead of following theoretical curve is most likely to mean that 3I/ATLAS is keeping roughly a constant distance from the sun, which means it is NOT in its way to Jupiterand the "Hill distance" thing is just a tennis ball to get the conspiracy-minded puppies to chase, instead of asking other questionsHowever the amateur telescopes find it in the sky, at the angular coordinates corresponding to its "way to Jupiter" trajectory (or close enough to it)It follows that 3I/ATLAS is now somewhere along a line _between_ Earth and its expected position according to https://theskylive.com/3dsolarsystem?objs=c2025n1 ... but at a distance from the sun about the same as at perihelion (draw a circle for that)i.e. it's more or less "waiting in place" close to our orbit, waiting for Earth to close in. Based on the length of that arc compared to the total Earth orbit, we should run into it in slightly more than a month.
>>41565578>space is fakewrong, that would mean you would say>space could be fakelearn the difference betweetn a statment jumping to conclusion and a theory
>>41565817Oh well just blow it up then, see ya next month. Or does it suddenly have diversity rights.
>>41565796Share image with MSPaint if you have to.This point is better shown, not told.
>>41565817>our inner solar systemits not yours
>>41565796TL; DR: Brightness only needs to stay constant for Earth to "run into 3I/ATLAS" in early January---------Discussion:The only interpretation of such an approach is that it intends to maximize surprise to casual observers. That is the opposite of peaceful behavior.Having Star Trek-like 3-D maneuver capabilities in space does not mean it has infinite capabilities. To a jungle savage a WW2 plane would seem unlimited in capabilities, whereas they actually had limits. If these are not "our" ayys, but some new guys in the block, they may have limited intelligence on us. The rapid tech development of the last few decades may surprise them. An "angular coordinates stealth" approach only works for someone who doesn't have radar ranging, AND is not paying attention to brightness. It is conceivable that a few decades ago this object may have passed unnoticed. If they care about catching us unawares, maybe they are not super advanced, but had a lucky breakout in space travel. We did too -- in the 1960s we had jumbo jets, thermonuclear weapons and antibiotics, but we could not eradicate common cold.If they were super advanced, they would not care to wear camo. I don't dissimulate myself from an anthill on my way when I go to pee in the bushes.
>>41565796>https://cobs.si/comet/2643/I'll include this in the next bake, thanks for sharing that link. I hear your points and there is clearly some validity the idea. We can agree that any degree of unexpected motion following perihelion, or a calculated amount of acceleration alike, are equally significant. Obviously, Earth being the target will have a very different outcome but it means the same thing at this point as a close Jupiter encounter; the object is not natural.
>>41565832>space could be fake>entertaining that space is fakeThat is what I said you just omitted half the statement
>>41565881are you five?you are aware of the term of "is" and "could be" ???
>>41565881retard
>>41565885>>41565889You don't need to fly off the handle. "entertaining" means you are considering that space is fake. It has the same meaning as saying it could be true.So again, your point is to say that I have to entertain the idea of space being fake? Or did we already move on from the entire point of your reply.
>>41565796You know what else?Let's say theoretically, 3i ATLAS didn't know for sure, how much of our star system was inhabited. Didn't know if the local populace was interplanetary. It passed the sun, ont the side, away from the bulk of our planetary mass.Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, all on the hemisphere of our solar system with the Earth, the opposite side where 3i ATLAS hit perihelion, and Jupiter was just the closest to that division line.Which side of Jupiter is the current course? The side still away from the bulk of our solar system's planetary mass. It's the careful/cautious course, under the "We don't know how inhabited this system is." Assumption.Away from the mass and thus, away from the potential colonization/industrialization.These things, if it is... Probably have had previous interstellar investigations, there's no reason to believe we are the first. They probably optimize against strategy missteps. Such as coming into a solar system, near their assets. This looks particularly clean by that regard. Kudos to their trajectory planners.
>>41565875maybe the solar system is truly an election process. and the other planets are going to kill us. they are limited but they commit to a power structure. maybe we are the sacrificial planet. because it makes sense to anyone that is where the sweet spot would be, while all the planets are technically hiding their utopia for a reason.
Bake is ready, will push it on page 3
>>41565902>"entertaining" means you are consideringno, it means entertaining, having fun. It is not a consideration, a consideration would leave room for other possibilities, therfore to state something as ultimative with terms like "it is" just sounds wrong, as far as you actually be entertainet by something like jumping to conclusion.

Wait, is this the same guy who didn't know definitions from the plasma organism discussion?
>>41565876Ran out of time. Someone please add "Circle of quasi-constant brightness" text box for the white dashed circle, and something like "actual position of 3I/ATLAS" to the smiley at the intersection of the circle and sight linety
any more info on tiago not being able to find this thing at first with official coordinates?where is it actually?

>>41565992it was both according to earlier posts

>>41566065I'll have to go back and sift through the video, then, if anything in that video was 3I, then that thing pretty much lost all of its luminosity in less than a day.

>>4156676790% of that collage is bogus, but the image is real, from the dead man's switch drop. The purple thing is officially assumed to be a derelict ship or station that still has some operational capabilities and responded to the ping sent by Juno in 2019.
>>41567134Wow, that is fucking wild. Thank you for explaining anon.
