Astrology absolutely hijacked and destroyed my teenage mind.When I was 15/16, I was having an identity crisis and I started to rely on astrology to define who the fuck I was, in the process I started to create fake concepts about myself and others, limitings beliefs and delusions. I started to rely more on what my chart say about me than actual reality, It generated a level of mental/emotional anguish and suffering unbearable, like it really had a grip on me. I was surprised how something so seemingly inoffensive and silly like astrology could have taken such a toll on me, and deprive me from life and Gods grace and truth. I know understand astrology is inherently demonic and whoever dwells on it ends up with the devils claws on his head. Beware anons, the same with tarot and any other occult practice. They are meant to deceive us, to rob us the divine light of Gods truth. They are abominations of the enemy. Your life is on hands of God, you are a children of God and astrology is just bullshit it doesnt define you on a deep level.

I think you should always have someone else read for you, and they should be a good person and only focus on the good stuff unless they phrase it as a warning instead of a curse that you are beholden to. Words are important, so the words you get out of a reading are more important than the actual reading, thus the person who reads your birthday should not be trying to make you a nervous wreck with negative readings. I had someone who was on their way down in life, did a reading (not astrology but other kind) that came out really bad, like a huge warning, and they actually heeded it and stopped their activities (going out and drinking) right on time as their friends all ended up getting their cars smashed up and the arrested and other bad shit. A bad reading when heeded helps someone avoid the bad stuff, and still learn their lesson, that they were ignoring something that needed their attention.

For example when I have kids I’ll def look into their charts and see what comes up, then if something does I can either encourage them to do things that align with them, or teach them to overcome things that might be negative aspects of their chart. I also think they hide this stuff from people because it’s effective.
