Why do so many Christians treat Paul's writings as the direct word of God? I'm not even anti Paul, I just can't fathom how people can be ignorant that these are letters Paul is writing to churches, and even he admits some of his ideas are just his opinion. The funny thing is, so many Preachers, especially American ones quote Paul's letters more than the Red Letters of Christ.

With as much as Christianity prides itself on being based on an actual flesh and blood man, who lived, walked among people, died, and was allegedly resurrected, most of it's theology boils down to a guy who said "trust me bro, god told me". Like we literally have a guy walking on water, healing people, and coming back from the dead, and were all going to listen to the guy who never even met him. At least the non canon gospels had the sense to attribute the text to one of the apostles that knew the guy, or say it was direct things that jesus himself spoke.
