Our ego is what makes us want to protect and grow the world around us. Outside demonic influences want to consume and destroy that world for "fun" because they have no ego attachment to it. Demonic possession is just when that demonic force doesn't want to fully commit to casting themselves into this world. Angels are similar except they manage to rise above their desires and to want to help continue building up the material world instead of consuming it. Like demons they can still posses a human without fully commiting to casting themselves down onto the earth. Perhaps we all have a role to play in this theatric game, a contract that is drawn up with what will happen and what we want.So whenever I see hungry zombies, demons in Berserk or deadites in evil dead, my skin crawls. This is how a majority of souls will act, taking and eating away at the world that humans have built and maintained.
