Explain the concept of luck. I’ve heard that some people try to recreate luck by repeating the actions they took during times when good outcomes happened. They may also test variations of those actions to identify which factors actually influenced the outcome. According to this view, luck is not purely coincidental; instead, it can be reproduced through specific behaviors or conditions. These steps could potentially be used by others to achieve similar fortunate results.

I want to add that I approach this topic as someone who relies on scientific reasoning and has reached the limits of what I can learn through conventional research, which is why I am seeking further insight here.

Luck is a nebulous force of nature that does actually exist, and is even pseudo-measurable.

Some people are legitimately, verifiably luckier than others, and it is an x-factor that can even be observed. In fact, the Chance stat is even a factor in the Theory of Giftedness that's used by education systems the world over.

I myself was in the Texas GT program from 1st grade through high school graduation, and I've always been very lucky and I was the only student in my graduating class that was still a GT kid - and boy did my principal let everyone know that. She described it as a certain "je na sais quoi that you just know is present".

For me, though, it's never felt like an x-factor and moreso like "spooky action at a distance", as Einstein once said it: a strange cosmic force that somehow, someway, synchronizes me with opportunities and minimizes negative outcomes. It's not something one can manipulate, though. I've never been extra lucky at slots or lotteries - but the luck I have almost feels as though it's pushing me to a specific destination in my life, to carry a specific worldview, and to meet specific people.

Ever since I first heard it as a kid, I've always identified with the following phrase: Something secret steers us. We shall not name it.

Playing honest card games is the best way to build a luck intuition. Note that having good luck often makes you feel robbed because it expresses as the absence of a thing you desire, but should not have. Additionally, there are people who can sense good luck and will go out of their way to sabotage it. Be wary of people who believe the magic of sleight of hand lies in fooling people rather than giving them earnest delight.

For me that's a woman lmao been wanting to be married to a beautiful woman since I was a toddler but it really feels like every single opportunity I've ever had was ruined by one thing or another and I don't even get the opportunity to try

At this point I don't bother at times it genuinely borders on slapstick how far life will go to keep me from dating, how tauntingly close I get before an inevitable and completely unexpected rugpull occurs. It's very different every time but it always happens lol

And yet you have not been divorce raped. You are hurting, but still whole. You still have something deep inside that's precious and pure you can offer to someone. That's good luck, anon, and it means a lot.

You know, I really do think I'm beginning to recognize that. Recently I've felt a change in my mindset, like a recognition that I was essentially being a dog begging for what's in fact a pot of boiling water on the stove

Indeed. And desperate men are easily controlled. They cannot stand up for their wives and children without dying and leaving them destitute. Even if you never find a wife, you're on the level, anon.

You can use entrainment, in a group or with yourself and with objects you relate to (under animist perspective all matter is conscious, able to be conversed with). The strength of the entrainment network determines the movement away from entropy and chance to luck. Pretend deeply to be a character suitable for the occasion, accentuate the identity with fitting qualities, cooperating with others doing the same as part of a story, and rehearse it in a low stakes environment to know it works.

Or, more simply, get to know yourself, learn to like yourself and expect good things always because you know deeply you are worthy and you've established that network effect, that synergy, with every moment.

Luck is experienced confidence.

A rabbits foot or amulet works on this principle. Start small then go bigger and bigger with your experiments. The real amulet is knowing that you are good and worthy at the core of your identity. Everyone is but few remember.
