We have the majority of people living in Earth "praying" for a better world. Praying that they will be better themsevels and by bettering themselves they will better the world through their actions. Christians pray everyday for a better world. I'm pretty sure the majority of the religious people in Earth do pray for a better world at least five times per year minimum, give or take. Think about yourself right now. How many times have you prayed this year asking God, or whatever, to help you become a better individual? Or to make the world better? Asking God to judge evil and asking God to help the poor and the needy? My point is that we pray, pray, pray, pray, pray and the world is getting worst. How come? Most people are praying for a better world, from all sorts of different religions, but the world doesn't actually become better. What is happening? I tell you what is happening. Praying doesn't work. It's all a faity tall tale. It is our actions which cause an effect in the world. Your prayer may cause an effect into someone else, praying is an action, but praying and hoping that the world will be better without we actually making the world better which our actions is pointless. We must act first. Praying doesn't do shit. Praying is a superstition. You gotta go and do it. Praying doesn't do any good. I fee like it is valid to pray in the sense to focus your mind and in the sense to raise your spirit. But if you pray hoping that God will answer your payer? You are delusional.
God does answer prayers, I can say from experience, but you’re right in that people themselves need to be agents of change. Our realm is distant from God, he works through degrees of separation and most people don’t do the work necessary to actually receive meaningful information through the wire, so to say. He cares more about dharma than divine intervention, he Wants you to do the work and find meaning and fulfillment in his creation, while becoming an active participant in this creation through your destiny. He’s like a parent who wants you to do well and grow to be self reliant. He gave us creative faculties, because we are made in his image. Love for the act of divine creation is the true meaning of devotion, not praying all day and night making wishes. Imagine getting phone calls all day from millions of people who don’t ever shut the fuck up and just ask for 20 billion things, he’s usually screaming the answer back at you but there’s too much background noise to hear it. He can’t get a word in unless you shut the fuck up, empty yourself, and listen. This is why things like meditation are so critically important. Once the channel is clear, you can actually begin to commune with God and begin the work he put you here for. I’m not Hindu but they understood this very well, the Bhagavad Gita is very accurate to how it actually works. God will answer to any name you give him, he takes endless forms and is in everything, and any offering is sufficient to him. He’s just as much in you as he is in anything else. You’re not supposed to worship Christ, you’re supposed to emulate and become him. The point of this realm is for us as one organism to “learn” consciousness and rise to a higher level. God isn’t going to hold our hand, we have to stand on our own two feet, love the miracle of creation, and lift each other up by participating, embodying, and serving as an example of that love through our works, whatever they may be.

>>41656121>>41656171>>41656633Not Hindu or jeet, I’m more into western occultism desu but Hindu philosophy is arguably the root of most mystic/occult schools and in terms of popularly practiced world religions it’s the most overtly esoteric. True will is the same shit as dharma.
>>41655903Prayers from a sincere heart cause miracles to occur. Holding to anything during prayer diminishes its power.
>>41656904Holding on too tight to anything in general is a bad idea if you can avoid it. If you’re meant to have it, you will because you can’t not. That’s what a lot of people don’t get about prayer; there’s a difference between want and need, and ultimately God decides which is which. We meddle too much. Free will exists but there’s definitely “divine railroading” and God is happy to blow up even our most well meaning machinations if it’s not what he has in store for our true path. You can go your whole life ignoring that, doing everything your little reptilian brain thinks you “should” and then wondering why it doesn’t really work. Think about how when most people win the lotto, they have all these big ideas what they’ll do with the money, but then they just get depressed. Our ego has no clue what we actually need, we have to turn to something else.
>>41655903Prayers work. It's our lack of patience that diminishes what God is doing. Often times we want everything NOW but God knows when to give us what we pray for. Cheer up. God likes the long suffering and you not giving up. Nobody said it was going to be easy but God makes the load so much lighter
>>41656888eww... a crowleyan...
>>41655903God answers all prayers OP, sometimes it's a no.
>>41655903>Most people are praying for a better worldIs that really true though? And even if true, what does a "better world" mean? Does everyone envision the same? Your basic American conservative Christian might be praying for Israel, while your basic Muslim living in a middle eastern country might be praying for Israel to collapse.
God does answer prayers.

We must act first.Deciding what to build and what to do is the hardest thing. Formulating a plan on a sound idea is hard. Contemplation, which is a large degree of what prayer is about, helps with this. I agree that people shouldn't distract the gods with all their nonsense and neither with their emotional turmoil. All these people just eat up bandwidth.
