having a real hard time not believing Neon Genesis Evangelion is the ultimate revelation of the method media in our current timeline... the more you schizos post alternate theories...the more those theories kinda congeal into a sorta pseudo Neon Genesis Evangelion...I'm just saiyen.
The NGOs and the glowies do seem to want something kind of similar to Instrumentality. Some terrible unity where all distinctiveness is removed and everybody is just an unthinking collective.
>>41658830That's only because you watched that anime but because I never sawwed it, IDK what you mean if that's the one about the femboys with swords. But I wish we could watch it together or maybe like something I want to watch for once with girls?Love youu <3
>>41658830Congrats on figuring it out. Now research what happened in the real world and try not to kill yourself.
>>41658844Do they?It seems like they want to create a sense of division among people, as opposed to a chaotic collective consciousness.
>>41658830>having a real hard time not believing Neon Genesis Evangelion is the ultimate revelation of the method media in our current timeline...i mean sort of. eva is a great series/film but it’s only truth adjacent. that show/movie discloses some key info and secrets about world but you have to understand that any disclosure was approved BY the people who want something different. this, of course, is the definition of an “ulterior motive”. the real motive is simple: power and control, using an “illusion of choice” exploit. think of the people who published this shit (not hideaki anno, but the big wigs at GAINAX) like SEELE. they don’t necessarily know or care about the details of the story, just want key elements included to represent their actual intentions. anno is more like all the characters, the details, fractured into many parts (which, of course, is a huge part of the plot). he is allowed to reveal certain things (through NERV etc), but mostly he’s just complaining (through Shinji). in this way, he’s not unlike Kubrick, “getting back” at his handlers for being awful people by revealing their secrets. only difference is anno didn’t get killed - his shit was reviewed, edited, and approved, and in interviews he plays off the symbols like they were strictly an “aesthetic” choice. Eva is not disclosure, it’s entertainment, another vehicle for control.>>41658844“Instrumentality” is a metaphor for everyday cog in the machine behavior. the story itself wants you to empathize with the eva pilots so you also “get in the fucking robot”. >the truth: choice is the ultimate freedom. imo eva is simply turning a false dichotomy (end of the humanity or end of the world?) into a trolley problem. >pro tip: not my problem is an optionall hollywood shit is this way - matrix, office space, you name it. eva was just a more honest take. good art, but in a way eva is like chicken in that everything tastes like it and vice versa
