They also have ways of replenishing their bodies with pure energy, not food like we eat.They are hiding their tech or just being disingenuous with humanity. I'm sure there's SOME sort of tech they can give us without it resulting in the destruction of earth, and even so. There's no reason why they cant abduct people who give them consent telepathically and choose to leave earth. As you mentioned, even the stuff that would meaningfully improve peoples' lives with little risk of reverse engineering by bad actors to cause harm.
