I'm a writer and I also believe in the theory of magnetism and that sort of thing.

Esotericism, regarding what one should or shouldn't consume, tends towards veganism or, failing that, a carnivorous diet.

But I have no idea if it's considered prudent to consume caffeine and cigarettes.

I don't practice promiscuity, nor do I watch pornography, nor do I even drink alcohol; I've been teetotal for years.

But I can't give up coffee and cigarettes—at least 10 to 15 cigarettes a day and 2 liters of black coffee.

Leaving aside the obvious harm my diet might cause to my health.

How do coffee and cigarettes behave on a plane beyond the material world?

I'm considering quitting, but because of my profession I can't afford to lose focus. However, it could genuinely provide an advantage for my spiritual (and incidentally, physical) health, so I think I'll have to make the sacrifice.

I'm very thin, in case you were wondering.

You are like me in my 20's but I'm almost 30 now and if you start abusing a substance like weed you could end up sliding down slippery slope and lose all your money just a few years.

Would have laughed if you said you were fat. You don't have to quit the coffee cold turkey. I would quit the cigs by tapering down as much as you can, switch to vaping, then switch to gum and patches, then just patches. That's what I did and it was actually fairly easy and painless to fully quit smoking for good. Haven't smoked for 10 years now. With vaping, it is much easier to taper your nicotine intake by buying fluid with lower nicotine content.

As for caffeine, I haven't quit fully. I just make sure to only have it right after waking up in the morning, and that's all I'm allowed to have. Has worked for me for years and gives you something to pick you up when you wake up. I could probably quit altogether but I don't really see the need. The western world became more productive when coffee became popular. It isn't all bad.

Caffeine is good if in small amounts, not 12 hrs a day.
Cigarettes are very bad except in soe very specific circumstances.
If you want to know the effect of almost any substance just look up
