Astrology in particular always pissed me off, because though scientifically knew it couldn't work, I also knew there was something about it I clearly didn't understand. It's about the fact that in the movements and orbits of planets, we can find information that MIRRORS something about us (as above so below; as within so without). Speaking of mirrors, they can serve as gateways and scrying tools because they literally reflect us. We are the universe but we are not God, because God is outside the universe. But all the same we are animated by divine energy, and have some divinity within us. cont'dThis next one might find some disagreement among the Gnostics on /x/, but God didn't make us out of His own being or energy (creatio ex Deo), nor are we or the universe emanations. We are nothing but His thoughts. We were created out of the absolute nothing beyond reality (cretio ex nihlo) in the same way that our thoughts aren't "made" out of anything. He could not have made us out of Himself because He and His essence and energy are Perfection, and we are not. We had to be created separately (from His thoughts) and we have to have free will, free will which is guaranteed by our being separate from Him. However even though we have free will, the universe is still deterministic. This seems paradoxical but it possible because, of course, we are the universe. There is no difference between our free will choices and the determinism of the universe. That is a false dichotomy. God is all-seeing and all-knowing because on His level time and space simply don't exist. He is perpetually sensing and experiencing everything all of the time. Sometimes, because time does not exist, emotional sensations bridge the divide ("gut feelings", though sometimes I still think it's just plain old anxiety). Similarly, this is how remote viewing can be possible, because on some level there is no spatial or temporal gap between knowledge.Things in the past don't cause things in the future, they ARE. karma isn't just consequences, karma is you. What is very interesting is that the idea of mirror has been in my mind lately too, had a thread on it recently. Everything is both a mirror and an eye but for different things. For instace the middle of the eye appears black but it is white in infrared because the eye is also a mirror for infrared. This is the same for ideas, like love, envy, resentment. If you try and are patient you can control what you mirror or what you absord (eye).
