For most of you who read near death experiences or talked to psychic mediums, you might be familiar with the very common theme of: as soon as we leave our body, we are kind of re-absorbed into a "Higher Soul" (the us who is eternal and knows everything) and it absorbs our experiences, what we learned and so on.Also that we are often reincarnated or send on another trip down to suffer on Earth so that part of us can enrich itself further on experiences. To me, that is completely selfish and alien. I don't want to suffer because another part of me wants to gorge itself on knowledge or experiences. I went to a very good psychic medium (she has gotten no prior information from me and I have no social media presence to look me up, also the reading was booked on a fake name as well) who connected with my passed grandma. My grandma overall was very lovely and helped me with her advice. But when I asked if I can stop reincarnating she more or less said:- "Depends if you learned your lessons and broke the karmic cycle!"Immediately that offended me, because I don't subscribe to that. I told the medium to tell her spirit that I do not consent to this. I don't consent or care about learning lessons or karma. Then suddenly, her spirit allegedly said: "Ok well, then it's just up to you." So after that I started to meditate and repeat that I do not consent to reincarnation, these lessons, Karma and that I don't want to be absorbed or see a life review. I just want to remain the ME I am now and gain independence from my Higher Self, to become a new being and remain so. Kind of like a country that started within a place but ultimately wants to become a new country without the old one holding onto to it and claim WE ARE THE SAME, WE ARE ONE?Sorry for the long text. What do you think?
>>41676087>i do not consent to reincarnationThen you better be karma positive! :)
>>41676105Don't consent to karma either. I thought the spirit world is real big on consent?
>>41676106It's also really big on karmic "money"! :)
>>41676106yeah, everyone gets to choose the circumstances of their birth. i remember asking for a limp brain and average dick
>>41676114You are probably mocking but that might be true. If you read near death experiences you'll see that the spirits on the other side are really horny for challenges and suffering and find it "super enriching and interesting"... so yeah as dumb as it sounds, the you on the other side might have asked exactly for that.
>>41676119man the world sure is full of hard players. only like 10% wants to play on easy mode?nah. if reincarnation were real the rich would make the world a better place to increase their chances of have another good life
>>41676105Or else what?
>>41676087the work is bringing that 'higher self' fully down here into you and aligning your will perfectly with it. that's how you become perfect and get off the wheel. until then eat, drink and be merry. but do the work also. I do sympathize with you anon, as I used to be of the same mind.
>>41676114When they was passing out looks, I thought they said books, so I asked for a scary one.
>>41676087 I've thought along similar lines. The core issue is that what we perceive as our self is a composite illusion, as transient as everything else. Our sense of self depends on numerous factors: our body, karma, the skandhas, etc. The person you were as a child and the person you are now are fundamentally different. You fear dissolving into nothing, yet there is nothing there to dissolve, for the true nature of all sentient beings is unchanging. What is needed is simply to cease identifying with this temporary form you currently inhabit.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddha-nature
>>41676249you get reincarnated as a chicken in a factory farm or something
>>41676087I think those people are full of shit to begin with, they want to believe in a happy fluffbunny world so any suffering that happens must be something you chose to subject yourself to and forgot about.
>>41676279>our self is a composite illusion,Says who? Who gets to decide that?
>>41676479 The transient self is a manifestation of existence itself, an existence that constantly flows and changes, never remaining the same for even an instant. There is no point in clinging to it. It is like trying to hold water in your hand; it will inevitably seep through your fingers.
>>41676522There is no point to cling to it if you have no other option but who decides that. Why do you accept things being forced upon you? What if there is an option to be exactly what you want regardless? Why not?
>>41676087I support your view, the crap it requires to keep an omnipotence scheme going is fucking toxic.
>>41676411Yeah I get a lot of Samsara like this
>>41676697 Nothing is forced upon me, for there is ultimately no difference between my nature and the nature of existence itself.>What if there is an optionWhat if ascension is not merely an option, but the only possible resolution? It remains impossible as long as we cling to these transient states we mistake for a self. That very clinging is the source of our suffering and the fundamental reason we find ourselves here.
We don't consent to come back here. I was told of a Gold Light, but the Gold Light may be non-existant. You got into the white light, get your memories wiped and come back again.

>>41676855I genuinely hate this victim blaming crap and wish people would stop spewing it everywhere.Yes everyone is constantly and fluidly changing, that doesn't mean it isn't valid to not want to change in drastic ways to identify with an earlier branch of source, it's technicality word games that are thrown in someone's face when they ask uncomfortable questions.Empowerment without drastic change to the self concept or integration of what is to you essentially foreign bodies IS possible, because everything is possible on a spectrum of infinity, there's no reason to imply otherwise. If you do you're either personally controlling and disrespectful of free will, or enabling that which is.
>>41676855No my source of suffering is demons fucking everything up
>>41676087I mean if your higher self being a little bit of a dumbass is the core of the problem , I guess you need to figure out , how to get information that might presade him.
>>41677013Look around. Aren't the Higher Selves of most people idiots or cruel? Most people suffer and never fulfill their dreams.
>>41677056poor indians
>>41676087Lets see what you say when you are dead. You need to be incarnate to meaningfully interact with the material plane, and that requires some concessions. You cannot exist here in your full self, so a reduced version does so, like a shadow that cannot possibly be three dimensional. You will come back, infinitely thankful for the opportunity.
>>41676479You decide it in every moment you exist in. When you say "this is me" it may be different from when you say "this is me" in 10 years. My point is that you need to live in the moment and decide what you are instead of saying "I want this version of me from X years ago" You are what you are and need to learn to accept and grow with who you are now.
