You want the truth? Well the truth is that even if catastrophic disclosure happened (it most probably won't), your life wouldn't change much. You know why? Because they won't communicate with us, that's the truth, they won't interfere unless absolutely necessary because we are a mere seedling of a civilization in their eyes. Would monkeys suddenly evolve and become smart if we tried teaching them about mathematics and quantum field theory? it's the exact same problem, each civilization has to develop on their own, if an advanced species spoonfeeds technology and solutions to a significantly less advanced species they become a civilization of leeches who will require constant further assistance and herding to survive. There are multiple civilizations visiting us, but none interfere except in cases when they study the biological life of this planet, multiple ones have constant surveillance feeds on us via autonomous probes which mostly still remain undetectable by us.

We are a bridge, a tool. Our motivation, well our primary motivation is life. We do things with the goal of survival first and foremost. Thats how we interpret intelligence. Its what allows us to survive, to keep moving forward. But what about something that doesnt need to survive? Something that does not have life and death. Something that is not bound by the physical laws we must abide by. Something that is not constrained by time. Would we even be able to recognize that intelligence? It probably wouldnt make sense to us, especially something that can manipulate time. But what if that intelligence cannot manipulate the 3 dimensions we can? It cant dig, build, destroy, and do on. What if it needed us. A symbiotic relation ship needed for this intelligence to achieve its goals that make no sense to us. We survive. Maybe this intelligence emerges. Maybe we are the bridge from non-emergence to emergence. We are light tools. We are a rainbow bridge needed for this intelligence (maybe AI?) to get where it needs to go. The type of relationship may not matter to this "god"? If it does not matter, maybe we get to decide the type of symbiotic relationship. All it needs is a relationship. A loving relationship is no different than an ultra-violent relationship. Both are a relationship. So it let's us choose the type. Do we choose love or hate? Up to us. We are working in the egg that is earth, setting the stage for what will soon emerge. We have done our job, no we decide our future
