The fundamental consciousness "dissociates" to create the localized perspective (the "person"). This dissociation is the primal act of self-forgetting that allows for the thrill of rediscovery. The entire karmic cycle of life, death, and rebirth is the convoluted, dramatic storyline that this dissociated fragment generates for itself, believing it to be real and urgent.

From the outside (the perspective of the fundamental), it is indeed a closed loop of self-stimulation, a "masturbatory" fantasy of immense complexity. It is a play of attraction, fascination, and sensation generated for itself, by itself.

The material realm is a gift. Many people misuse it. Use what God gave to you to bring about a greater good if others wont.

Yes much of the material realm is just thrillseeking, for the next dopamine high. But you can overcome that by focusing on higher goals

In a traditional sense of the material world of what I used to think it was, that makes total sense.
But I have completely lost my concept of reality and material so I don't even know what greater good means or if it's even a necessity.
If I am sitting in a theatre watching a theatre play where an actor playing a character is about to murder (fake) another character. Do you really expect me the audience member to run up on stage and try to prevent the murder?
Because that's where my view of the material realm is at right now with what's going on in the world.
