Like if a person donated to charity, just so they could tell everyone about it after. I think real "goodness" is done in silence, or in a self-sacrificing way. "No good deed goes unpunished," etc.If you're doing "good" things just to check boxes for rewards, then your motivation isn't really any different from a person who does "evil" things just for rewards.

So it is in their best interest to prolong this universe and delay it's entropy, because without it they might cease to exist. It's my theory that once all the sparks find their way out, and there are only hylics, archons, and the demiurge left, this bubble universe will be destroyed and time within it will cease. They might not feel guilty, but they feel intense pain in needing to fulfill their sins.
