There were different systems, schools, western, eastern, voodoo, nordic, celtic, shamanic, kabbalistic, babylonian, egyptian, christian, islamic etc etc. They can't all be fake. I do realize people practice til this day but it's not as normalized as it was before. Back then you had witches and sorcerers literally working for kings' courts. Having established that, I guess it begs the question:Does belief by itself make something real? So was magick real to the people of old because they believed so?
