let's assume the soul exists for the sake of the thread, where is it located? is it inside the body or transmitted to the body like a radio signal and the brain and spinal column are the radio tower? is the soul and conscious self awareness the same thing? is the soul what you are or something you have? if it's inside the body it must be in the brain, you're basically the central nervous system and everything else is the life support. i was raised in the hare krishna movement and the founder prabhupada taught the soul is in the heart but that was back in the 1960s and theres countless videos on youtube of people living decades after heart transplants normal healthy lives and they don't stop being themselves, so the soul being inside the heart is clearly bullshit,my money is on the pineal gland or some part of the thalamus since that's the only part of the brain that doesn't have a pair, and since there's many instances of people losing entire chunks of their brain but dont' cease being themselves, albeit a bit retarded. same as a heart transplant you don't become another person if you get one. discuss. transhumanism is clearly the way forward and the most truly holy movement in human history. let's figure out how much disgusting poorly designed worthless human species (literal vermin) can be replaced with the blessed machine while still remaining fundamentally ourselves.
I don't think it's in the body.I think the body is essentially an remote controlled vehicle we strongly identify with because it has senses and we can't leave it to our knowledge.Outside of our knowledge we are part of a larger more formless consciousness. Probably God. I believe that's what makes telepathy possible as well as precognition.
