I'll teach you a trick to amplify terror. If you want to consume horror works properly, the right time is not at night, nor in the early hours of the morning, but rather, near dawn. Between 4-6 a.m., you should be deprived of sleep; you can use caffeine/energy drinks to enhance the effect. When the insomnia subsides and sleepiness hits, it is at this threshold that the mind perceives the world through a hypnagogic filter, and everything feels real. The horror comes alive.

But I do not recommend doing this: the images you consume in that moment will burn into your mind, and new monsters will likely inhabit your dreams.
