I have a hard time deciding if my "visions" are real or pure hallucination.So I studied a lot of esoteric/spiritual stuff around late teens and later developed schizophrenia. My mind was therefore primed to view hallucinations as "visions" from the spirit world or something along those lines. I also studied some philosophy, and that sort of gave me the knowledge to justify what could be hallucination as "vision". After all, Socrates experienced hallucinations he said came from a guiding spirit. The nail in the coffin was I also watched a lot of horror movies and X-Files episodes so I didn't dismiss the idea of the supernatural. My most vivid hallucinations seemed frighteningly real and their effect on me was so strong that I felt intuitively they must be real. Visions being real messages from the spirit world is an unfalsifiable claim. It's in the same category as solipsism, which also torments me and at one point seemed like the most sensible solution to everything I was experiencing. So how do I deal with the doubts and can it be proven, or at least convincingly argued, that I am experiencing something understood well by modern science? Thank you for reading.

Do your visions include premonitions, or facts you wouldn’t otherwise have knowledge of? Do they form a narrative?
