From a magical point of view, how accurate is this book?

I haven't read it (that's why I am asking, to know if it's worth the hassle) but what from I can gather is all about wishing, visualization and gratitude.

I guess those starving niggers in Africa dying of malaria didn't wish hard enough for antivirals and food. Skill issue.
>>
I've never read it either, but from what I gather it's not a hard magic system with any sort of ritual or process. And if there is a process that functions or makes you magic work more efficient, why would you not study that instead.
Like most things in the new age it's based on real concepts but is a watered down version in it's weakest form. Also calling it Manifestation or LoA or whatever allows people to practice magic without even realizing what they're doing. So your average normie Karen type, who's spiritual and goes to church, is not going to freak out and call you a satan worshipping witch or something. It makes it palatable and acceptable to normies. But that's also limiting it's usefulness and power.

All loa stuff is a waste of time anon.

I was attracted to LOA stuff when I had low self esteem, was in poverty, had depression induced by a learned helplessness & ODD negative feedback loop, from a childhood of daily trauma from all fucking angles, parents, school faculty, peers, strangers, reinforced daily.
The LOA speakers sound great.
And they can get you into a better mindset, i.e. make a list, start small, do just one thing, be positive and you'll attract positivity.
It's all true.
If you're an asshole, you're gonna attract other assholes and at least turn the positive people away.
Like is attracted to like, quite often.
You don't want a partner who is your opposite, you want one who compliments your interests at worst, and has the same interests at best.
The LOA speakers can help pull depressed people out of a slump, or just make them feel a little better right now.
LOA speakers help directionless people as well.
Like religion can and does do, the purpose people find in it.
There are nuggets of wisdom as well, don't wish it was easier, wish you were better - and get better, which is true, it IS hard to become skilled, and once you're skilled, it's a barrier to competition to be good at what you do, and have other people suck at it.
"It's not enough that I succeed, others need to fail."
What sucks is we love in a nepotist society, not a meritocracy... LOA never mentions that.
Basically LOA says keep working on yourself, and keep looking for opportunities, and things will happen.
That's it.
No magic.
Just common sense, discipline, and looking for what you want to find, all overing periods of time.

the secret is pretty much a coping mechanism for humankind's inability to transition into basic income secured societies

The equivalent of toilet paper when true magic does exist

It's layering delusion to allow for fluidity, detection, custom systems for 'craftsmanship' in whatever form. The delusion has to be unlayered, and if the delusion is impossible, ends in misery.

Watch the 2010s edge youtubers videos on elliot rodgers if you want to hear stories about Elliot Rodger being a retard with the secret thinking he could manifest him winning the lottery.

Law of nature: calling anything impossible is a categoric noop
>>
My uncle fell into it hard and lived his life by what it told him. He didnt save for retirement because he thought it was just gonna work out because he believed it would and hed manifest it. Last time I saw my aunt she was in tears panicked because she doesnt know what theyre going to do. Wouldnt be surprised if he kills himself.

Good as a mindset tool for depressed people like >>41708658 says, has good ideas but if you dont do youre part because you think itll just happen youre setting yourself up for despair.

Indirect hope has a different resonance trail which is easily overlooked, I honestly recommend

The actual secret is consumers like OP buying the shit and word of mouthing it to a bestseller

Fool

Wonder what that author did with all the money after the drigs and hookers
>>
I've been doing this shit forever. It's fucking crazy that both normalfags and actual occultists don't know it's magic.
>>

I don't put much stock in this book or its ideas, but I wanna look at this from another angle. There's this belief that if you work conscientiously and consistently for long enough, you'll eventually succeed for sure. And with that success comes things like wealth, health, happiness, etc. All those Africans dying of malaria probably just didn't work hard enough, those lazy buggers.

If LoA and Manifestation is real, then magic is real. Magic is using the same fundamental system but building a functional framework around it. And we have proven that the placebo effect is real, and what the mind belives can affect the body and health, so it is true on some level. The question is how much and to what extent. What can and can't you affect with will in this reality with your mind.
>>
I saw it at a mall bookstore when I was shopping christmas presents yesterday. I think that shows how much this shit is worth.

read Think and Grow Rich instead

>Looking for opportunities and then finding them is magic
>Looking for problems and then finding them is also magic
>counting the red cars, then being asked how many brown cars there were
In either case you're looking for red cars.
Looking for red cars is not magic.

Fuck this book. It bastardizes everything the New Thought movement actually taught, leading to situations like this one >>41709263
Just go into /loa/'s library and directly absorb the ideas that Rhonda the hack muddled up. My favorites are Neville Goddard, Florence Shinn and Joseph Murphy.
>>
it works, in general, ladder system-ing it works best imo as in imagine something small, ok you got the small thing? nice, now refence that win when in doubt and climb up to envisioning the next bigger thing and so on.
>>
>>41707375
NLP, Kabalah, loa etc. all do the same thing. Unblock subconscious blockages and trauma that keep you in a mindset and limited belief. When you believe and think positively without doubt and hesitation, you start to imagine all the possibilities and things have a tendency to manifest, opportunities appears and things turn out alright in the end.
Imagination and visualization is how you control the non-physical world, just as nothing happens in the physical world if you don't think it, the difference is you have to physically act and move your ass.
There's no limit to your imagination other than yourself.

your worldview works great till it doesn't. just when you think you have it all figured out reality throws you a curveball. all truths are half truths, all paradoxes may be reconciled
