I had an idea for a form of worship or a kind of religious model and wanted to see what you guys thought. The idea is basically that each believer must mentally construct a kind of home for God in their own mind or soul. Not to confine God since the idea of God kind of negates the idea of confinement, but more like an alter that you construct and maintain in your head that God can occupy freely just so you can hopefully have a closer relationship with God if God deems the alter acceptable. A kind of Temple of the temple. I think if done properly it could encourage people to take care of themselves and others more actively. But the foundational understanding of God must still be clear to avoid people simply constructing homes for demons within themselves. It must be emphasized that God is all knowing, all loving, and ever present. So constructing your temple should look like building a home in your mind for all the most loving and caring and truthful parts of yourself. It's less like giving God something that God doesn't already have and more like you are consolidating your best aspects as a show of faith and good will.

I think God might dig your strip club temple, but I'm pretty sure He can be in more than one place at once and like more than one thing at once lol

I thought so too, but I'm still working on my own mental temple and thought it might be easier for anyone trying to do it if there was like a community for it. Just so people could talk about their own temples and how they made them to help others build theirs. I just think the stipulations of how we understand God to be need to stay grounded in truth, presence, and goodness to prevent things from spiraling into a negative kind of worship, or a reverence for fear or anything like that.
