Alright, need some thoughts on a suspected haunting.>recently move into a 70's Italian made home>first couple weeks hear a loud clap/snapping noise from the other room (sister was with me and can confirm)>sister was asleep upstairs when visiting and felt something pushing on her (the cat wasn't in the room)>fiancee and I found a random puddle of water in the rec room, no water stains above or swelling on the floor or wall>visitors keep mentioning shadows that quickly move when looked directly at.Only issue is my dog (blue heeler 5 years old) and cat (black tuxedo 3 years old) don't seem threatened by the presence. What do?
>>41709360Contact your local Catholic parish to have a priest or deacon come over and perform a blessing
>>41709360>something pushing on her>puddle of water>tfw you're artistic sister can't reason the difference between a cold, humid draft from wind pressure and you have undiagnosed astigmatism
>>41709360Try to recreate any condition of the room which might have led to the puddle if you cleaned it up by mistake
>>41709374We aren't Catholic though, and it seems not to fuck with anyone seriously. No plate throwing or silverware flying around the rooms. >>41709382pushing on her like how a cat kneeds, yet the cat was downstairs asleep>>41709390It was basically right after we moved in, hasn't happen since (this was around last March)
>>41709435It doesn't matter that you are not Catholic, just do it!
>>41709360>Clap/snapping noiseTemperature and humidity changes causing wood to shrink/swell>Was asleep and felt somethingDreaming>Random puddle of waterIf no leak is found, could be uneven floor that naturally draws water into that spot. Simple test is to spill some water around and see if it moves there. Alternate explanation is a well hydrated dog pissed in a new house resulting in a clear, low odor urine puddle.>Visitors mentioning shadows movingRats. If large, it could be the natural layout fucking with your cornea. Had a notable example of this at my job where one hallway looks like a shadow person is at the end of it from a work station. 100% of the employees see it. All describe it the same way exactly but looking right at it has it disappear. Side vision? Comes right back.Area has been thoroughly examined and it only stays gone with proper lighting. Any kind of ambient light, everyone sees it again. Just natural light play but it still understandably creeps people the fuck out.
