im a former muslim that frankly left over Muhammad, I don't really have a problem with Allah and what it's supposed to represent. I just hated how arab centric it all is and so clearly designed to funnel tourism money into the region and don't even get me started on Hadith and the idea that Allah gives that much of a damn about using a miswak or pointy finger in prayer (im aware these are sunnah acts but the fact it even exists is just pure autist). I'm not arab btw , from the extended muslim community so I don't some sort of historical kinship to all this either. But I have a muslim AF name , people somewhat assume I'm muslim from the jump, it would make me fight less with parents if I could just be a practicing believer, and frankly im getting a little older and its getting a little tiring to have such a mixed identity. But I don't how I can put the genie back in the bottle , knowing everything I know now... Should I even try? Or accept I've made my bed and its time to move on.
