I’ve lived in three different apartments this year and one of them had a trash truck that made a grinding steel sound that sounds super similar to these videos whenever it would come by and pick trash up, and on non pickup nights it would be on other streets. It makes it hard to pin down if you don’t live on a block that gets serviced by a truck that happens to have that problem. In every city, there is industry, and with industry comes pollution with unnatural sounds.
