Sages of /x/, can you imagine any heaven or afterlife that wouldn't become stale after 1,000 years? Say you start with living in your favourite film/tv/anime world with a harem of dream lovers, realistically how long would the contentment last? Bear in mind there's no work or distractions each day, from the moment you wake you're experiencing your heaven.

Think of how long 100 years feels to you now, imagine 10 times that in your heaven, will it still feel stimulating? How about after 10,000 years? A billion? How can any world or set of beings ever hope to permanently satisfy a soul - at some point you'll have experienced everything, all possible permutations of experience from your heaven, and then what? Does the heaven become a prison where the only way to escape is to choose non-existence or insanity? WTF is a soul supposed to do?!

gacha got stale after a week and you're still posting it thobeit

I would think either it's unimaginable simply because it's in another dimension, it would be trying to imagine a color that doesn't exist.
Or, the afterlife constantly changes as you get to participate in God's act of creation forever in a way that no longer requires anything unpleasant on your part. I've always imagined maybe the angels in the bible are creatures from other dimensions that already earned salvation, and that's why they mind break us so hard and tell us to not fear them.

Sure, this is a possibility, surrender/submission or merging with the divine (abandoning the individual sense of self and choosing the shared collective), but then would you really be 'you'? Even if you freeze or slow time in a perfect moment of contentment, that feels like a small death, going into suspended animation. I do hope the reality is just something we can't imagine from our limited perspective here.

Could be a possibility alright, but you will still be you trapped in a neverending cycle of worlds/lives - after enough time you will experience most lives & possibilities (only the fine details will differ).

I don't think submitting to the divine necessarily requires surrending your uniqueness. God made apples and oranges, both are distinct yet equally fruits. You'd realize why exactly you're the way you are (notwithstanding sinful things which must be done away with) and God will put those qualities to perfect use.
I'm just guessing here btw. The apostle Paul said heaven is too wonderful to describe with words.

That is why hell is an option too, anon.

based knower.
There is also Omega Point Theory that examines how this might work.

>Sages of /x/, can you imagine any heaven or afterlife that wouldn't become stale after 1,000 years?
Sure, because I can understand my ability right now is limited, so I simply imagine the unlimited, and by definition is would last longer than 1000 years.
>How can any world or set of beings ever hope to permanently satisfy a soul
By not being an attempt to satisfy the limited self, but instead having the limited self in service to the unlimited.
The unlimited can provide unlimited satisfaction in a way nothing dedicated to the limited could.
>at some point you'll have experienced everything
You think at some point in counting numbers you will reach the end?
