The real struggle with Taoism is coming to terms with that. Although it also becomes more difficult in a sense. For example, if you 'truly' come to terms with it - then you can have no qualms with anything. However, in line with the Tao, even having qualms with the Tao is a part of the Tao - 'if it wasn't so it wouldn't be'.TLDR : You are always going with the flow.

Buddhists idealize sickly looking monks doing nothing who need nothing, christians idealize a man bleeding on a cross for others and being humble with your limited self with prayers giving you blessings, jews someone worshiping and sacrificing before an ill-tempered god...and then there are taoists who align with the heavenly way and seek to become immortal and rise to heaven on their own merit using their own will. It's simply the only spirituality whose followers make you go "yea, I want to be like that."
