His works seems legit but I would like to know if anyone here can give me a confirmation on him. Can't just trust an authorative tone.He seems prolific too, but I'm unsure about how to tackle his works.I'm interested on his work on the Greek Magical Papyri, but would lile to know if any other book would be recommended first.

>>41726026His Techniques of Graeco-Egyptian Magic is a nice guide to the PGM. And his Techniques of Solomonic Magic is also a nice guide to Solomonic magic. I appreciate his scholarly work and often agree with his reasoning, and I also like the fact that he's a practicing magician instead of just an academic. His methodical approach to grimoire authenticity serves as a nice balance to the approach of more "witchy" author-practitioners like Jake Stratton Kent, someone else that I also read. Joseph Peterson has also done really good work on grimoire magic even though he himself is Zoroastrian and doesn't practice magic. I appreciate his meticulous attention to detail. His website esotericarchives.com is one of the invaluable online resources I use. SS. JSK and JP are my top three most read writers on this subject, with some valuable books by writers like David Rankine and Julio Cesar Ody thrown in. My first practical jab at grimoire magic was informed by Peterson's edition of the Lemegeton and Skinner's edition of "The Goetia of Dr Rudd". Skinner is an alright guy to follow even if I don't agree with him or believe him 100% of the time.
His book "The Complete Magicians Tables" is great. Brings a lot of different things together in one place to help you understand what its all about.
>>41726798>>41726268Thanks, he seems to be the good medium between academically focused and practicing magician. I'm more interested in Graeco-Egyptian religion and magic so I'll check his book on that. Also the tables of correspondances also seems quite good so I'll get that too. Thanks for your input, anons.
>>41728260Sure thing. A bit more miscellany incoming.Douglas Batchelor had a decent podcast episode on the PGM. There's some good resources and references in there. He's also right about being careful with Stephen Flowers' work related to the PGM. https://whatmagicisthis.com/2020/02/29/the-greek-magical-papyri/Dr Kirsten Dzwiza is someone else whose work I appreciate, some of it might be behind a Patreon paywall though.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aNu5Byy_WYhttps://www.antikemagie.com/category/ritual-manuals/As far as electional timing is concerned, you might want to study the Coptic calendar and work backward to the ancient Egyptian civil calendar.Lastly... Brian P Alt... I keep an eye on his progress as something tentatively fruitful. I'm being cautiously optimistic.https://www.interlinearmagic.com/https://www.patreon.com/theurgy
