so i have always considered myself a hardcore materialist who never believed in anything paranormal.but there is this one phenomenon i could never explain.these random figures that would show up in our old house all the time. they are fast moving humanoid looking bodies that would just pass by the door very quickly. by the time you turn to see wtf have just moved they are gone. so initially i brushed this over as just "peripheral hallucinations" or some optical illusion until one day both me and my dad saw one at the same time.we were both sitting and watching tv when that shit just moved so fucking fast through the hallway passing by the door of the living room. i turned to see what was that and my dad turned to me and said "did you see what I saw too? what was that? was it your mom?" i went up to check and it wasn't my mom. my mom was in the other side of the house and she didn't go anywhere.another time is when our neighbor brought this up completely unprompted at a family gathering. she reported the exact fucking phenomenon to the letter. and said she saw them in her house too.now these beings completely went away as soon as this neighbor moved away.i never saw them after.no one saw them after.
>>41731768Difficult to say, did you feel the air it left? Was it colder or warmer?
>>41731773didn't notice any difference in the air. but i got goosebumps every time it happened
>>41731775I wonder if it is what they call "Spectres" or "Apparitions"
>>41731768Emanations tied to individuals are pretty well documented by paranormal enthusiasts at this point. The more powerful ones can completely wreak havoc on affected households. Common shadow people like what you describe are basically harmless, though.
>>41731817what are they though?ghosts? demons? some upper dimensional beings? dinns?
>>41731831That's harder to answer. There's basically two theories:1. Astral beings which attach themselves to psychic individuals and feed off their energy2. Subconscious thoughtforms directly projected from the individual themselvesI think in the really bad cases they might actually be ghosts or demons, while in the more common cases they're just thoughtforms, fragments of imagination which gain self-will and refuse to dissipate.
imagine being a materialistwhat a retard
>>41731849personally find in most cases it’s the former. i don’t think astral is the appropriate term here only because typically the energies being discussed, sometimes described as ghosts or demons, are inexplicably tied to this plane, not moving freely about the stars, as astral would imply. let’s assume there’s some kind of sentience attached to them- if they were astral there would be no real “reason” (or cause) for them to be so entangled with a this relatively/ statistically ‘insignificant’ 3D/4D world. thus imo a better term is “interdimensional” - their existence, to us, is essentially the result of their former energetic existence on this material plane not fully dissipating, leaving a sort of ‘heat signature’ of an energetic body that existed once but may not anymore in the same form(s)>pro tip : matter is neither created nor destroyed >hacker tip : this is the same phenomena CERN is researching
>>41731768There's a variety in shadow entities, from passive watchers, playful to more malicious or projecting negativity. There's the classic hat man, although I've heard there are different kinds of hats other than the classic wide brimmed one (These can potentially also be linked to the men in black phenomena, which are of a more paranormal nature than government agents).Often described as darker than even a dark room. Ghosts typically, if seen, look more like specific persons, although they can be more or less transparent. It seems more common for children to actually see the ghost in full human form, so to speak. As pointed out it can also be some sort of psychic projection.
