Of course, you can and should believe in evil spirits. If I become a spirit and don't drink a cup of coffee for 7 months in a row, I will obviously be angry, obviously I will be an "evil spirit" at least until mortal people give me a cup of coffee as an offering.

If I were a Buddhist I'd probably practice Theravada, they're chads and the farther you get from the Pali Canon and other early Buddhist texts, the more new-agey and larpy the whole thing feels, I just can't take half this shit seriously. Tibetan Buddhism (which is Mahayana/Vajrayana) is a full-on NWO globohomo spook show.
