What do you guys recommend for s beginner to this kind of magic?PGM? Ars Goetia? True Grimoire?Any books worth reading first?

>>41742803Grimoire magic is /x/, dumbass.

>>41742788The Arbatel of Magic. You will realize that it is almost impossible to do anything with the grimoires unless it is a specific vocation given by God.
>>41743086Thanks!It's been a while since I checked the library. My objective is leveraging the demons for material gain, so it can be put towards more transcendental aims.
Any other ideas, friends?
>>41742788Most of the grimoires are just spell books made by initiates for their personal use and inaccessible for most people.
>>41744243Well, I am not most people.
They pretty much all assume you're an ordained priest with knowledge of the rites and rituals pf the clergy. Especially those associated with exorcism the inversion of which mechanically is often the foundational metaphysics behind evocation as performed in the grimoiric tradition.
>>41744389What do you think of guys like Skinner who claim to successfully have summoned and binded demons?
>>41744323It's like trying to use other people's book of shadows for personal use. Sure, there are exceptions such as the Goetia and Abramalin.
>>41744414>>41744395>>41744323Why would you want to do evocation anyway? It requires experience.
>>41744414>>41744419Because I need personal gain to gather materials related to the Great Work, to access hidden information and resources. And doesn't everything require experience? If I never try I won't have experience.
>>41744414You will never prove you are bonded to the Goetia over the holder of the scar that is now called the Preliminary invocation. There is no real reason to think other people have anything to do with it. You'd know that if you actually studied and weren't just a spiteful atheist.
>>41744223If your willing to summon demons for such material gains I'm willing to bet that you don't mind doing the left hand path,magnet:?xt=urn:btih:532d40b2b2d1a3386655a4ceb7956c60e7dc6609&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fconcen.org%3A6969&dn=Theoccult.click+Content+Leaked+%28Part20%29+Specialty+Presses+Traditional+Left-Hand+Path+Thelema+Crowley&xl=18659994808magnet:?xt=urn:btih:225acb2639afb6af2f01b5cab070598296fa59c4&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fconcen.org%3A6969&dn=Theoccult.click+Content+Leaked+%28Part8%29+Chaos+Magic&xl=14949706594For such martial gains it not worth the exchange and you will regret it, but to each their own
>>41745075I've always been more of a right hand path kind of guy, the mentality I have going into this is more like wanting to leverage the material world to better the conditions for greater targets. So I see it as more of a neutral tool, but I don't think I'm comfortable with things like thelema. I don't trust Crowley.
>>41744395Post GD material is in practice about as far removed from the historical grimoiric tradition as it is to the orthodoxy of jewish kabbalah
>>41746343Are Skinner's practices filtered through Golden Dawn ideas? He seems to focus mostly on historical research.
Vedic Astrology: Generally if a person is interested in magic, they will do it during a period of Rahu, such as a 3 year Rahu antardasha. This is because Rahu energy is all about ego, desire, magic and illusion, making it the most perfect time to do magic. Your ego will explode during this period, as you believe that you are controlling your fate, rather than God - but God will allow some things to happen according to your karmas. It can be a very fun experience, but don't get carried away or do things you will regret. When Rahu period ends, he very often takes back all that he gave - so at this time a person's magic will stop working, their material success will fail, and Saturn antardasha will come soon that repays the karmas of the sorcery they did. This doesn't happen all the time of course, but it is a pattern noticed by vedic astrologers. The magic will generally only work for things that are already promised in your natal chart. Such as a strong Saturn in the 10th house might grant career success. However its not really free because if magic was allowed to work for free, then the laws of karma and justice would not be real. Of course while deeply entrenched in the ego and desire of magic, it is impossible to see this.
>>41746359As filtered through crowley, yes
>>41744577The thing with goetic invocation is that you already need to be materially well off to do it. For example having a place to construct an 18 foot circle, and other ritual accouterments.
>>41746929Wrong, it is trivial for me to rescale all possible permutation of ritual.
>>41746929I could get a house to do the circle, I also already have a sword.
