Likewise, memory, linguistic reasoning, everything you would consider thought would be gone without a body. Everyone and everything alive, all life is conscious and connected. You could be feeling angry or sad and not know why, not knowing your apartment neighbor directly on the other side of the wall is beating his wife or something and you're picking up on their energy, and that'll leave residual energy that anyone around there will feel in some way from now on unless its removed by a medium and that energy can manifest into that event of him beating his wife over and over to anyone in close proximity. Your thoughts lead to your desires, which lead to your decisions, which lead to your behavior, which lead to your actions, which leads to what you feel, which leads to what we all feel.

Maybe your first girlfriend was a Japanese exchange student, and now your sexual fantasies are tied to the themes of your first girlfriend. You will take this same sexual preferences and patterns into the afterlife. In the afterlife your senses are drawn out and expanded, leaving you living in the present moment like a childhood with a great sense of euphoria and pleasure. So if the desires and behavoral patterns developed in this material world are evil or bad or self-defeating, you will still take them with you. And it will be a cause for another incarnation for you to work them out next time.
