The mob lawyer Oscar Goodman who defended Meyer Lansky, Nicky Scarfo, and Frank Rosenthal was mayor of Vegas from 1999 to 2011 and then his wife was mayor from 2011 to 2024. And Meyer Lansky III the grandson of Meyer Lansky has a residence in Vegas today. Also the UFC is used for recruiting mafia enforcers. John Gotti III is an MMA fighter who has fought in the UFC.
